Both offenses are forms of west coast offenses. The question is which Smith did the Redskins get. Last years AS was top of the league. His career suggests something different. Could be that he continues to improve year to year. No way to know until they start playing real football. I think Guice is going to help him succeed.

I agree, but a season long healthy Jordan Reed will be just as/ if not more helpful to his (Smith's ) success this season. So let me ask you this... IYO what's the ceiling on a season featuring a healthy Jordan Reed? Are we looking at Travis Kelsey numbers?, Something better? something a bit less than that?
I know it's just speculation, but I do appreciate your opinion on this. (anyone else who wants to chime in as well)
BTW: let's not laugh too much at the thought of a season long healthy Jordan Reed. Not likely, of course, but humor me.

I think Jordan Reed is the most important receiver on the team when healthy and put up numbers with any TE in the league. He would not only be key to Smith but the entire offense. I would love to see what he could do with a full season. I wouldn't put a wooden nickel on it happening but you never know.
I'll be ok if the Alex Smith we get doesnt turn our offense into
1st down Hand off up the middle
2nd down Short crossing pattern for 3 yards
3rd down Repeat 2nd down and warm up the punter.
Just my opinion but the guy doesn't suck. I believe he is a step below Cousin's but not a fall off the face of the earth guy. He is a little more agile as a runner so maybe that adds to the offense.

What hype are we talking about for CDC? To date, all I have heard from teammates is: professional, engaging, hard worker, personable and great to be around. As for his play, jury seems to think he is average, game manager and fully evolved a QB as he can be.i would be ok if he even came close to reaching the hype he gets . we can have a very good offense if he plays well
I think Dad is referring to the hype of some on this board. What hype are we talking about for CDC?
