I was at the Rangers/Jets game earlier this week and they only chanted it once and not until the 3rd period. Was cute hearing all those Rangers fans trying to fire themselves up by using a clean hit from 40 years ago. Was even better listening to them chant "Igor" every time he made a simple save which was only like 10 times all night!!! Something seems off with him right now.

Could have been interesting timing for Varlamov to get a shutout. I still think he can get them a 2nd back in a trade and moving his salary would help to bring in another player. Love the guy but it's the smart move to move him if you get value IMO.

While I agree with the first part of what you say I don't think the Islanders have the talent elsewhere to do it even if they make the playoffs and everything goes their way. The goal is really the 7th seed to have a shot at a first round win. If Shesterkin was playing like he did last year, I would say the (hated) Rangers are the most likely team to take them out. I think you are going to need to score on Boston on the power play to take them down.

Well, that's the thing about getting goalied - it makes every other aspect where you might be 100% better than the opposition in feel absolutely worthless.
