Goff has to get better. It's pretty obvious if you can knock him off the script they practice all week then he struggles. And the o-line looked really tired by the end of the season.

Big question is whether that is the QB or the coach.

The Rams had the NFL 10th best average attendance at 72,000 this past season. The Rams new stadium has a capacity of 70,000 and the Rams no doubt will sellout most games.

Many of those 72,000 were fans of opposing teams....

Fair enough, but McVay has already as an 33 year old head coach proven that he is very capable of returning to the Super Bowl in the future. Did you ever think that Belichick when he was hired as the Pat's head coach, would get to as many Super Bowls as he has?

Yeah, Just like Dan Marino was capable of returning to the Super Bowl after his 2nd year in the league.

Come on. You can't be serious with that comment.

McVay is young, shiny, and new, and yes, he's shown some talent for coaching, but he's also been severely "outcoached" (his words) on the largest stage. Throw in the Gurley situation and he's either hiding an injury (illegal) or he's an absolute idiot for forgetting he had one of the best weapons in the NFL.

Makes sense, now we will just have to wait until next season and see what happens.

So, the Rams still sold the tickets, didn't they? Do you have a number of how many of those fans, "were from opposing teams"?

Yup... the proceeds went to the Rams.

IIRC guesstimates for both games the Eagles played there, something between 30-50% Eagles fans. The fact you could regularly hear opposing fans (and IIRC the Eagles offense commented how they could use home cadence in LA) is telling enough.

LA is Lakers & Dodgers.
Never understood why two PRO FOOTBALL teams settled in LA when they struggle to support one

When both the Raiders and Rams were winning teams, the Coliseum and Anaheim stadiums were pretty packed. It was fashionable to be fans of those teams....but they had to win. I bet a lot of Rams fans quit on them when the split...and haven't returned.

 Did you count the Eagle fans there in Los Angeles to come up with 30-50% of Eagle fans? Who gives a rat's ass, the proceeds went to the Rams? The Rams were 10th in total average attendance in the NFL last season, with 72,000 per home game. Where where the Eagles in that list? They were 13th with 69,600 per game.

The Rams need that revenue.
The Rams and Chargers agreed to pay a reported $650 million to the other 30 franchises when they moved to Los Angeles. The Raiders will pay $350 million to move to Las Vegas. Those payments, to be made over a 10-year period starting December 31, 2019, have a present value of about $27 million per team.

Which means - on average - the Eagles completely sold out their games (since LFF has a listed capacity of 69,176).

LA Coliseum has a capacity just over 78,000. So the Rams (on average) never sold out.

If you look at attendance in relation to stadium capacity, the LA Chargers actually had the best attendance (121.4% of capacity), the Eagles rank 9th (100.1% of capacity), and the LA Rams rank 31st (77.4% of capacity). The only team doing worse are the Redskins (74.4%), an organization notorious for doing everything to drive their home fans away.

2018 NFL Football Attendance - National Football League - ESPN

About the only other teams I can think of that happening to on a fairly regular basis: LA Chargers and the Washington Redskins (in some rivalry games). And we all know what dumpster fire the latter organization is with Snyder at the helm. At the same time, the Rams are actually good and competing for championships.

If teams mention how - in LA - they could use their cadence as if playing at home, you can hear opposing team's chants, and them chanting defense, then yeah, a significant part of the attendance is NOT the home team crowd. And - although somewhat distorted - shots of the crowd showing a lot of non-Rams colours is also telling. And that is happening while the media and the NFL has no interest in deliberately showing opponent's fans in the stands, as they want to drum up support for the Rams and Chargers in the LA market.

There are not too many stadiums in the NFL where the opponent's fans are able to be heared over the home crowd on a fairly regular basis while the game is not yet lopsided (with the home crowd walking out as a result).

I voted yes.
they have a let down next year.
Not so much because they play bad. I think they will still play well.
but only way it isnt a let down is if they make the superbowl again.
That I dont think happens.

Same can said about the Patriots in the NFC
Well first of all NE never played in the NFC. Let's start there.
Go Google the Hawks history so you can learn something about your team.

Also it's been posted on here enough NE has a better record outside their division. Trust me no one honestly wants to be in their division.

I don't know if Gurley was hurt, but he didn't run with passion in the last few games of the regular season and the Super Bowl.

Probably because he was drooling over your lady! She's fine looking. Thanks for keeping her.

On a serious note, you are right, it didn't seem like Gurley ran with passion, could be why Mcvay didn't use him. Basically saying, you don't play well, you don't play.

Anyone hear Mcvay mic'd up prior to the game and talking to BB?

Not sure about letdown. I think they will once again win the NFCW. I don't think they will make it very far in the playoffs.
