Nope, he would have torn the Rams a new one if he actually played on a defense that was half way competent and wouldn't allow the Rams to stuff it down their throats with the run. The Rams double and triple teamed Peppers all game long, as well as running away from him for most of the game. Peppers still got some good pressure though and forced a couple of early throws. Football isn't a one man sport, Pep needs his Bears teammates to play like Bears, not Cubs. I hope he gets released in the off-season and signs with the Broncos or Patriots, that way he can win a super bowl ring and play with a lead for most of the game, so he can pin his ears back and chase the QB all game long so he can break the single season sack record.

Problem is, that isn't what you said, you emphatically said Peppers was going to tear the rams up, after I posted Peppers hasn't done much this year. He hasn't done much this year because the Bear D is banged up injured with back ups playing instead of the back ups who were playing for the starters (which is what you just said).

No more emphatic statements on how Pepper is suppose to tear teams up.. ok. He isn't tearing anyone up right now, not this season, and he's been banged up the last two seasons and hasn't torn the league up by a long shot. He's played better than average.

Oh, and Long played him straight up on a lot of plays, the vast majority. Of course, Long is all pro type Tackle.

Peppes tore the Vikqueens a new one yesterday with 8 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 1 pass defensed, and constant domination, too bad the rest of the Bear Cubs suck.

Peppers could go down as one of the top 10 all-time best, but he needs to keep up his stats for a few more years. It's hard to say at this point.

Peppers is adding more and more to his resume this season, hopefully a Super Bowl ring will be next!

I don't think Peppers is a top all time 10 DE, let alone top 10 overall defensive player.

He's top 100... but top 10? Not even close. Is he even Hall of Fame worthy? When you have to debate that, you can't call him a top 10 defender.

I don't think Peppers is a top all time 10 DE, let alone top 10 overall defensive player.

By the time Peppers retires, he could be considered a top 2 or 3 DE.

1. Reggie White
2. Bruce Smith
3. Deacon Jones
4. Julius Peppers
5. Gino Marchetti
6. Chris Doleman
7. Jason Taylor
8. Michael Strahan
9. Jack Youngblood
10. Jared Allen

Lee Roy Selmon, Carl Eller, Doug Atkins, Howie Long, Dwight Freeney, Leslie O'Neal, etc weren't as dominant as Peppers and that is a FACT.

Umm... he'll be a first ballot Hall of Famer. Not even close to top 10 eh? He's much closer than you think. Especially after playing another five more seasons or so.

His longevity is awfully impressive, but to me all that really does is make him the Art Monk of DEs. Having more of <insert stat> doesn't automatically make you better at that ability than another player with less.
