Will Committee treat Michigan State like Wichita State last year?

You know they will (get preferential treatment) like a bunch others would too. It is unfortunate but I guess it’s just the way it is.

It will be interesting to track. Assuming a loss to either Purdue or in the Big 10 tournament, they will have a resume very, very similar to St. Mary's last year. St. Mary's was a 7 seed last year. Michigan State certainly won't get a 7 seed, but they shouldn't be getting a 2 seed either(if the scenario above plays out)

Agree totally. Now let’s say they lose to Purdue in the B1G champ game. I could seem them getting a 3. Especially if they only lose once more (like they should) in the regular season. Time will tell I suppose.

If they lose to Purdue in the regular season and again in the B1G CG, they'll add a win(presumably) against Ohio State. That will give them another win against a top 50 team, which would take their record to 2-5 against the top 50/field(doubt Maryland makes it). There simply isn't any precedence to suggest a team with that type of resume should be anything higher than a 5/6 seed. It will be interesting. The committee has always penalized teams for lack of wins against the field and a poor OOC SOS, which Michigan State will have both on theirs.

lol, oh man, if a 29-5 (15-3 Big Ten) Michigan State team gets put on the 5 or 6 seed line, ESPN will have an amazing bitchfest about it. Dickie V's rant will be glorious.
