Did they announce that they would bring him back based on what he did in his prime?

I'll believe it when I see it. Until that time there's been no reports that he will be cut or take a pay cut.

I'd be ecstatic if it's first and second

We're fine with cap room
Matt kalil
Adrian Peterson (most likely)
Andre Smith
Chad greenway
Jarius Wright (most likely)

All come off books

The Vikes only have to give up a 2nd rd pick if they win the SB. 3rd rd pick if they get to the championship game. 4th other wise. If they win the SB I don't think anyone will care lol.

His çontract was structured to give the Vikings an out after this year. Now if he comes back in amazing shape, that could change things, but 18 million is a lot of money to give someone out of just loyalty.

How are the Seahawks good. They traded three draft picks for Percy harvin and gave him a massive a raise ...how can they be relevant with their prior mortgaging of a future. It makes no sense

Let's assume you're right and they keep AP they still have 24 Million in cap room, still have 7 draft picks next year, and only real loss is captain munneryln and they drafted his replacement this year (In hindsight maybe whitehair would've been better )

Because they're the youngest team in the league, have 10 times more cap space than the Vikes, they have traded for additional draft picks which in the end I believe they've had more draft picks than majority of the NFL the last 4 years now so they can afford to give up some draft picks.

Next year Seahawks have 29 million in cap room
Vikings have 24 million

My math is rusty but I don't think 24 million times 10 =29 million

Vikings have 42 players under contract
Seahawks 39

Vikings are also team with a very young core

Vikings have also had additional picks. We have two third rounders next year and had extra prior years (we collected 3 from Seattle)

Do your calculations of cap space include just not resigning all the players which have expiring contracts next year?

Vikings have 42 players under contract and 24 million in cap room with ability to create 18 more by cutting one. Only fa of value is captain munneryln who I don't expect back

Seahawks have 29 million available with 39 players under contract. Didn't look at their free agents
So not sure how you come up with 10x more cap room
Vikings are fine in cap room. I'm not sure why you think it's an issue. Yes we're tapped this year but they could clear room if need be

The salary cap website I looked at showed the Vikes with 12 mil of space next season. Yes they will be in a good position cap wise next year if they dump AD. They would need to address the O-line, TE spot, RB position. I'm not sure if they can do that all in the draft.

LOL @ the Cowgirls who are -18 mil in the salary next year. I assume Tony Homo is gone.

Vikes are the second oldest team in the NFL and are second to last in cap space this season.

Yes and next year we'll shed 3 players over 30 which will bring our ranking down

Prior 3 years we were one of the youngest and we'll be younger next year and replacements on roster

Again. We didn't sell our future. Vikings are just entering their window.

I'd say our current roster is real solid and is a good mix of vets and younger guys and if that makes us 2nd oldest? it don't mean squat

Yeah I agree you need a good mix. Jeff Fisher has been using we are the youngest team in the NFL excuse for the last four years.
