Just playing.

Glad they got the home opener though. Something positive for the beating they've been taking in the media lol I am gonna tell y'all right now i am extremely down on Texas this year. Picked them to finish 3rd but i think they'll be a distant 3rd. If i believed in the M's staff at all id pick TX 4th lol

Sorry but if you honestly think the rangers will not compete for the division you don't know much if anything about the team. Maybe baseball in general.

It took forever for a Rangers fan to chime in.

If you disagree with what I think then you obviously don't know anything.

Facts are facts. They've still got very good starting pitching. The best third baseman in baseball. An elite MIF defense, and some really good hitting they got rid of the offensive black hole that was Michael Young and upgraded at catcher. So tell me how they're not going to compete again?

Upgrade at catcher? We will see what you have to say about AJ in a couple months...

Beltre is good, sure, but hands down best 3B in the game? I think Detroit fans would argue with that. Heck, Nats, Mets and Giants fans are scratching their heads a bit as well.

No mention of the big subtraction to your lineup. You lose someone like that, and it will trickle down to every other bat in your lineup.

Are you kidding me. Cabreras defense is fucking awful. Ask any basball analyst/scout. Beltre is hands down the best 3b in baseball. Cabrera's bat is the only reason I'd trade him for Beltre, and if you'll remember Detroits awful defense got exposed badly in the WS. Offensive numbers arent the only way you measure a player. Baseball is played on both sides of the diamond. Ask me if I'd trade Beltre for any of those guys besides maybe Cabrera and the answer is an obvious no.

I loved Napoli but the fact is he hit for low average, is injury prone, and K's a ton. His defense isn't great either. He had one epic half season and that's it. Berkman will do just fine in the three hole, as long as he stays healthy, and he'll give Beltre more chances to drive runs in since he won't be flailing at three straight pitches.

It breaks down pretty simple.
MY: addition by subtraction
Pierzynski > Napoli
Hamilton when he's right is far and away better than Berkman. But Berkman will do fine and Hamilton was off far more often than he was right last season.

So yeah, the rangers will compete just fine.

Then you don't know much about the rangers. Everyone thinks they lost so much. They really didn't. People say "they lost Michael Young". Really? What exactly did he do for the team last year besides ground into double play after double play?

I know plenty about the Rangers and it's not just what they have lost but what other teams have gained. Angels will probably run away with that division, A's and Mariners young guys are becoming stars. I just don't believe in the Rangers.

Are you kidding me? After weaver (who's back may spontaneously explode at any given time) and Wilson (who's coming off elbow surgery) they have awful starting pitching. Their bullpen is pretty unimpressive, and they have a big drop off in their batting order after the first 5-6. WAR says they actually downgraded from hunter to Hamilton and Hamilton won't hit nearly as many bombs in Anaheim as he did at rbia. All they have is some sluggers at the top of their order. The rangers tried that for a long time and it didn't work out so well, and their park is actually built for that. Anaheim isn't.

Lets see if the A's can even begin to reproduce their charmed season from last year before annointing them. It took almost their entire team having career years to pull of what they did last year. You wanna bet that happens again?

The mariners? Are you kidding me? The only bat they added that might crack the rangers lineup is morales.

Everyone kept saying the angels were going to run away with the division last year too when they signed pujols and Wilson, and then traded for greinke and how did that turn out?

Since when is refuting your opinion with facts crying?

How many World Series have the O's been to in the last 10 years? How many playoff games? Yeah, lets just wait and see if you were a one hit wonder before you start running your mouth about a team that's been to the WS twice in three years and the post season 3 years in a row.

You haven't really been using facts as much as your opinion posted as facts. But sure. You stated facts. I'm sorry, you are right, Rangers will win the World Series. Hell, that might be the only game they don't win all year.
