Lmao Dallas has way too many tight ends definitely not a depth problem.
Outside of Witten I'm not convinced... Escobar? The guy that was passed on the depth chart by some other no-namer? He contributed only 64yds in the entire 2015 season. And the other guy, James Hanna chipped in an additional 79yds. Considering Witten battled injuries pretty much all last season makes those numbers look even worse.

Theres a difference between quality & quantity.

Not sayin anyone has exception to that rule, but it seems to everyone else (except you) that Dallas has serious depth issues.
Not sure depth is anymore of a problem in Dallas as 75% of the league. It stands out more because of the injury concern of Romo.

Don't have depth at Wr, Dline, Cb or Safety. Is Clayborn actually starting this year at Cb?
There is depth at WR, just not depth to step into the #1 if needed, I'll agree DB depth is missing, but DL depth is there after the two suspensions are over.
Tell me this though, how is a Skin fan pounding the defense drum when this horrible Dallas defense was better than Washington's in 2015? Maybe the Dallas defense will suck, but what Washington is putting of the field isn't something I'd write home about.

Other than we had no qb that could challenge the defense so everyone just stacked the box. Romo and a healthy Dez will make teams have to respect the pass. Pass rush is the biggest concern for us and it has been for years. Getting Scandrick back is a huge help to our secondary. All in all the Dallas team is very similar to 2014 if not better.

In all the no Romo, no Dez, Scandrick was the forgotten MIA.

Well according to one poster Washington losing Jackson was the same as Dallas losing Dez, so how important is the Scandrick loss anyway. It doesn't matter Dallas defense will suck.

You lose your #1 corner and it hurts.

Losing Dez hurt but not as much as if Romo was still healthy.

No Romo, losing Dez hurt but not as badly.

Dallas will be the trendy pick, because people will wrongly assume again that Tony Romo wont spend the season looking like this:

The Giants spent $200 million on the worst rated defense in the NFL, and I think Sterling Shepard could compete for ROY honors

if the right side of the Giants Oline, a glaring weakness, can somehow improve/hold up, they could be poised for a huge season

Should be a fun race, but facts show the Cowboys are 46-50 over the last 6 seasons with Romo, Dez, Witten and company. How many times do we need to "beat the dead horse" about health and depth in today's NFL? And honestly, I think the Redskins would have won just as many games last season if Colt McCoy had to step in.

I guess if the three guys in Dallas were like the "Benjamin Button" fantasy film character, and they had good back ups, then I might say yes the Cowboys would be the favorite.

my head hurts

now some know who the better rookie i
Agreed...and you really can't afford to stack it...Romo is too good for that...I've only seen the Zek kid play a few times, but if he's anything like Gurley...health is what I think stands in the way of the DIV...a WR2 will develop....and Witten is getting on up there, but still an effective player.
I'm not ready to say Witten is done either.
IMO, still the best TE in the east when factoring the blocking ability

40-32 with Romo under center according to pro football reference the last 6 seasons
but hey....46-50 sounds better

You're right, that .555 wining percentage with Romo aka NFL's 2016 "benjamin button" under center sounds a lot better.
