I'll give you equal to. Better than? Nope.Second fiddle on offense, he was MJ's equal or better in every other way though.
In 91' the only stats Scottie was better than MJ was Rebounds and FT%.In those first 3 championship series Pippen was the better overall player other than scoring.
After MJ came back from riding the bus through the minors the team was more balanced with Harper, Kukoc and Longley, plus Rodman rebounding and playing defense.
Ok just to stir some shit and make some heads explode I'm going to throw this out there: Michael Jordan
Not because he wasn't awesome or even the GOAT. But because he has been turned into some kind of God that can't ever be questioned or surpassed, who always succeeded and never failed, who only played titanic opponents and single handedly beat them all.
Doesn't that sound kind of overrated? Let the flame war begin!

He was in College and his Chip year in Portland.Bill Walton was never a superstar. Great player and too bad for the injuries.
* Must not laugh *Len Bias.... he was not injured per se

In '92, Rebounds Assists and Blocks.
'93, your statement holds.
