Cowboys needed a lucky bounce last year to win it.

Even with the lucky bounce they still needed to trade away a 1st round pick to win it last year.

So probably not them this year.

I'll pick the Eagles.
hmmmm...I'm surprised...

I actually think their OL got better from where they were a year ago. Solder started the year horribly but ended it very well. He finished the year as a ~top 20 OT. Hernandez and Zeitler might be the best OG duo in the NFC, if not the NFL. You don't need studs along the entire line, so I'd say they're probably going to have a top 15 OL this year, if not better.

That said, their QB situation is still very sad. Eli has been running on fumes for 2 years and is that much older. Dan Jones is a long ways off from being NFL-ready, and there's a huge question of what his ceiling even is. Barkley is a wrecking ball, but the WR unit is still pedestrian. Engram could be a stud TE but can't stay healthy.

All in all, I wouldn't be shocked if they were picking top 5 either. They're going to be held back by QB inadequacy.

Gotta disagree and I don't think it is just because I'm a homer, but they don't even have the best OG duo in their division. Martin and Williams are better than Hernandez and Zietler.

Agree on Evan Engram, but he is going to be doing double work without OBJ taking the top off the defense.

I think the Giants are the Cinderella team.

You know....

There is always that one team that everyone thinks that they won't make the playoffs but they do
I like Shurmur's offense and they were pretty good offensively after the bye last year even without Beckham.

Agree on Zack Martin being elite, but Connor Williams was not very good last year. Martin and Zeitler are both elite, but while Hernandez is a borderline top 20 guard, Connor Williams is nowhere close.

Williams was a rookie last year playing next to a fill in Center. He's going to be a stud. For as good as Zietler has been, lets see what he does on the Giants. Can you just plug him into the new OL with a new scheme and not miss a beat? I also think you are way overrating Hernandez. He's serviceable.

That's the one hope you have.

He could help you limp into a playoff game.
We strolled into one with swag last year without him. so...

Uh, Hernandez was also a rookie last year, and he graded out as the 21st best guard in the NFL. He was especially good at pass protection, which is saying something with an old saggy statue standing back there. Saying Williams is gonna be a stud while Hernandez is serviceable is about as homerish as you can get.

I'd probably take Washington. If I knew Haskins was going to be solid .

Id probably take Philly if I knew Wentz was going to be healthy and ready to go all year .

Id be tempted to take the Giants if I thought Eli had anything left

So give me Dallas

The Cowboys' preferred style of play will not lend itself to Prescott putting up huge numbers in 2019. He has not had a 4,000-yard season, but he has 14 fourth-quarter comebacks -- an NFL record in a quarterback's first three seasons.

Right now I think Dallas has the better overall team on paper so I'll pick them for the division and Philly for the WC.

If he continues getting more attempts at the rate he has the last two seasons, he'll be right around 560 attempts next year, which will be around 10th most in the NFL, plus he'll have Cooper for the whole year. In the first 7 games last year not having Cooper, he only had 30+ attempts twice. In the 9 games with him, he had 30+ attempts 7 times, and he also did in both playoff games.

So now we DO account for the changes since Cooper got there in the last 9 games? So he will both throw a lot more and have way more yards, big plays and TDs? Or neither? You can't have it both ways...
