Certainly Burrow was best down the stretch. I'm just not sure that's the criteria.
nowadays its not.

They should change the name or get rid of MVP altogether.

Just make another award that is about the QB with best stats.
Which back in the day MVP wasnt about that.

I believe there should be more talk about Burrow on here...I know, maybe being a bit of a homer...but I'm not saying he should win...just saying, I don't think it is as clear cut between Jackson/Allen without also discussing the year Burrow had. Especially when you consider the losses they had were well outside of his control, if that is a big reason why maybe he falls off someone's list. If he were able to win, let's say, 3 of those games they lost - his numbers would have crossed the 5,000 yard and 50TD mark with ease (assuming he needed to improve his play for them to win those games, and not the defense who gave up 38 pts on average in a 5 game stretch of losses). I mean, we're talking not just a career year - but a generational type season not seen but once or twice in recent times if that is the case.

In Cincinnati’s six games played since Dec. 1, Burrow completed 186 of 244 passes for 1890 yards and 16 TDs with five INTs, while leading the team to a 5-1 record. He led all NFL QBs in completions, completion percentage (76.2) and passing yards during that span, while pacing AFC QBs in TD passes and ranking second in the conference in passer rating (111.2).

Burrow became the first player in NFL history to record at least 250 passing yards and three TD passes in eight consecutive games on Dec. 28 vs. Denver, as he completed 39 of 49 passes (79.6) for 412 yards and three TD's.

This is Burrow’s second career — and second consecutive — AFC Offensive Player of the Month award. He also received the honor for games played in November. He is the first player to be named Offensive Player of the Month (AFC or NFC) in back-to-back months since Indianapolis RB Jonathan Taylor in October and November of 2021.
He needs to cut his damn hair.

Those highlights take him down a couple notches.

Should be MOP.

Most Outstanding Player.

Then guys with great seasons, on lousy teams would be in the mix.

High School Conferences do this and it works out for the best.
