Oh god, the stat whoring is the worst , they tell some of the story, not all of it and some people like to use them as the end all be all and they have all these advance analytics and shit that I have no idea what it even means and most of them probably don't either but as long as those stats Lebron is the bestest ever that's all that matters.

hey pot, meet kettle. derpa derp derp

"MJ is the bestest ever and nobody's opinion but mine is right"....herp derp

I post objectively so my avi pic shouldn't matter to you.

Thanks for the advice about shaqdaddy I have no clue who anyone is or what their reputation is, I'm just playing it by ear. If they are nice to me, I'll be nice to them.

Lol, is handicrappers so butthurt about losing an argument to someone, it had to cry to the mods?

LOL, that appears to be the case, he just can't take his L like a man and move on, he's still begging me for attention by running around facepalming my posts and quoting me. If I knew what he was all about I would've never responded to him in the first place.

Now he seems to be obsessed with me, it's sad really, I picture him as someone like this...

@handicappers sorry for the delayed response. I noticed some "peculiar irregularities" that I wanted to run by a trusted Mod I know on another site. They confirmed what I suspected. I've put it all in a PM to you.

Thanks for brining this to my attention. I've reported my thoughts (and those of the mod at another site) to the "powers to be". Please review the PM I've sent you. It's all laid out there.

Thanks for confirming it was a @MiamiVice alt. Called it.

Is LeBron overtaking MJ as the greatest player of all time?
has anyone read this article yet. i was reading it yesterday at work. though it was interesting

There is no doubt that Lebron has the potential to be the greatest player ever, I just wish everyone would let him finish his career first before they put him there. They want it to be happen now, now, now, I'm saying lets wait till we see the finished product and then decide whether or not he's the GOAT.

Hey @flyerhawk I changed my avi pic, Do you like this one better? Do you think it's less fanboy-ish?

Lol. So now the King “has potential”. Hahahahahaha

8 finals in a row but still has a mountain to climb in the eyes of the less knowledgeable. Classic.

He also was favored in every Finals matchup he was in. Lebron was favored in 3 of the 8. Easier to win when you have the better team. MJ never played anything close to the W’s team or even that year the Spurs won it. If you look at it from a team player, Lebron is the best ALL-AROUND TEAM PLAYER we have ever seen. Enjoy it while his is still in the league. I still have him at #2 all-time though right now

:L
Best all-around team player that couldn't keep the best sidekick he's had 6-7 years on his team even as a player/GM. Yeah makes a lot of sense if you're a Waterboy stat geek

When will Lebron pass Jordan?

When he buys a faster car.

When he has 7 NBA Championship rings.

Scoring wise, he should have passed him already. When Jordan played, taking more than a step was called traveling. Since LeBron, three steps is the norm. When Jordan played, putting your hand under the ball and turning it over to dribble was called palming. Since LeBron, it's called dribbling. It's not the game that was once called basketball.

Jordan never had a winning season without Pippen or Jackson.
He had losing records the 5 seasons he played without them.

Jordan might have a higher ceiling with winning so far....
But, Lebron has a much higher floor with winning.

Lebron never let his teams be awful like some of the Jordan teams.
Lebron only has one losing season (rookie) in his career despite TWICE joining a team that was the #1 overall pick.

Yeah let's look at the East back then and then now or the last 10 years +. You might be the dumbest poster on here > DorianRo

And MJ couldn’t beat any of them LMAO. He didn’t come close until the C’s and Pistons teams started to breakdown.

86 3-0 lost to C’s
87 3-0 lost to C’s
88 beat a 42 win Cavs team, 4-1 lost to Pistons
89 beat a 57 win Cavs team 3-2, beat a 52 win Knicks team 4-2, lost to Pistons 4-2
90 beat a 44 win team 3-1, beat a 53 win Sixers team 4-1, lost to Pistons 4-3 (had Pippen too)
91 win NBA Finals (Pistons have the lowest win total in 5 seasons, the C’s are old it’s Birds finally year and Mchale has one more, the Lakers dont have Kareem and Magic retires the next year) LOL

SO basically MJ gets dominated by the best of the east and starts his 3 peat when these teams fall of the map. Ok thanks

92 beat a 38 win Heat team 3-0, they beat a 51 Knicks team 4-3 (with Ewing being the only All-Star and it took 7 games), beat a 57 win Cavs team 4-2 (Nance and Daughtry retire after the next year), beat a 57 win Portland team (Drexler only All-Star).

93 beat a 43 win Hawks team 3-0, beat a 54 win Cavs team 4-0 (Nances and Daughtery’s final year), beat a 60 win Knicks team 4-2, beat a 62 win Suns team (2 All Stars).

94 lose to Knicks without MJ
95 lose to 57 win Magic team 4-2
96 beat 42 win Heat team, beat 47 win Knicks team 4-1 (one All-Star Ewing), beat 60 win Magic team 4-2, beat 64 win Sonics team 4-2
97 beat a 61 win Heat team in the East, beat the Jazz
98 didn’t beat any 60 win teams until the Jazz....

So he beat 3 60 win team in the East in 6 title runs. THREE. He couldn’t beat those great Celtics teams, or Pistons team, even got beat by the Magic in 95 and they had 57 wins.

For Lebron having faced so much greater competiton in the Finals against the Thunder, Spurs twice and Warriors 3 times, the competition doesn’t sound too much greater that MJ actually beat finally. You are delusional man.

Enjoy Lebron, you won’t ever see a player like him again.

And Lebron faces:

KD, Westbrook and Harden
Duncan, Parker, Ginobili 2 times
Duncan, Paker, Ginobili and Kawhi 2 times
Curry, Klay and Draymond 2 times
Curry, Klay, Draymond and KD

That is ONLY in the Finals

Yes he got beat by the Celtics. And Pistons were stout as well. Knicks pretty good too. Not like the East today. What a powerhouse

Thank you Capt Obvious and nice novel

If only Jordan would have had competition like the #1 seed Toronto raptors when he had shit teams instead of the Celtics in the 80s or the pistons in the late 80s.

Too funny

Yep. Those 80's Lakers and Celtics teams were scrubs. If only lebron was on the Bulls back then instead of Jordan! He would have won 10 straight championships and nobody would know who Larry Bird or Magic Johnson were.

Players MJ faced in the finals:

Magic Johnson, James Worthy
Clyde Drexler
Charles Barkley
Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, Detlef Schrempf
Karl Malone, John Stockton (twice)

Every one of those players with the exception of maybe Kemp and Schrempf is an arguable top 25 player of all time.

Yeah.... MJ only faced scrubs
