I know you're new here but this board is full of lebron nuthuggers that have probably never even seen MJ play.

Fucking millennials

Yeah we should all downgrade what is clearly a top 2 player of all-time.

MJ and Lebron are 1/2 that much is clear.

The LeBron haters make me lmao.

And for the record, I don't hate Lebron, he's the second best player I've ever seen, now some of his fanboys do get annoying but I've never said Lebron wasn't an all-time great. ( I do hate his flopping though)

Yeah let's ignore Kareem and Magic because "I wasn't even born back then" right?

Or you can keep cradling those nuts!

I'm not ignoring them but only a homer would think that either one of them is considered a top 2 player. I'd still have both top 5, however.

A homer would consider Magic and Kareem a top 2 all time player?

Damn kid, how high are you right now?

Yes, outside Laker homer fans, I can't think of anybody else that would consider Magic and Kareem a top 2 player.

I'm beginning to notice that, now they are trying to gang up on me. I just can't take the fanboy responses which are basically the posting equivalent of "Lebron is the bestest ever" . There's seems to be some good knowledgeable posters here, I just need to learn who to ignore.

If you have a picture of Jordan as your avi image and you are accusing others of being fanboys?

FTR, I don't think you really want have Shaqdaddy on your side. She was arguing that the Lakers shouldn't trade Kuzma and Ingram for Kawhi.

'On your side'?!? Lol, you think this is a game of dodgeball?

I see the Philly fans are still pissed about that pick!

Okay Jordan played in the tougher east..... but what great team did Jordan beat in the east??
He totally sucked versus the 1980s Celtics and Pistons. He lost all but one time versus those teams.
The 1990s Knicks and Pacers have the same number of rings as the Raptors and Pacers squads of today.

Jordan beat one championship tested core group in the East, the Pistons.
Jordan beat one championship tested core group in the West, the Lakers without Kareem.
TWO total teams that had rings and championship pedigree at the time.

Lebron beat one championship tested core group in the East, the Pistons.
Lebron beat another championship tested core group in the East, the Celtics.
Lebron beat one championship tested core group in the West, the Spurs.
Lebron beat another championship tested core group in the West, the Warriors.
FOUR total teams that had rings and championship pedigrees at the time.

So the Bulls should have let other teams win more championships to appear to face tougher competition?
MJ already took 2 years off to let the league catch up, what more do you want from him

What the hell did those 1990s Knicks teams do that was so great??
It is the myth of "walking uphill in the snow both ways to school" nostalgia.

Older dudes are repainting them as something they were not. They were good but not great teams.
You cling to an idealized version of your youth. Gen X folks are old geezer farts now and remember things diffrently.
Those Knicks teams were not as good as old man memory makes them.

1990s Knicks in years that Jordan played in the league
45 wins, 2nd round loss
39 wins, 1st round loss
51 wins, 2nd round loss
60 win, conference finals
47 wins, 2nd round loss
57 wins, 2nd round loss
43 wins, 2nd round loss

I dont count the 1994 and 1995 versions for this debate (LBJ vs MJ).
Jordan doesn't get credit for beating teams in seasons where he never even played basketball at all.

Hey guys, we have to pick a side here. Team colors are red and blue.

Meetings are every Tuesday at 8pm PST. Bring snacks.

I post objectively so my avi pic shouldn't matter to you.

Thanks for the advice about shaqdaddy I have no clue who anyone is or what their reputation is, I'm just playing it by ear. If they are nice to me, I'll be nice to them.

I want to bring some context here.

LeBron has not passed Jordan in my mind. I don't think he ever will pass him. But, I do think he is clear cut #2 and getting pretty darn close to a 1A 1B scenario.

Some of the people arguing LeBron's side don't have him at #1 either.

There are a couple notorious trolls on here, however, who rank LeBron somewhere between 8-12 all time, which is a damn near indefensible position.

I will never argue too vehemently with someone who ranks LeBron behind Kareem and Magic, although I disagree. It is the haters who try to diminish LeBron by citing Finals record and whatever other BS propaganda they can cling to that cause LeBron defenders to speak out.

The point is, no matter which side of the LBJ/MJ debate you come down on, it is getting close. I just wish it didn't get to the point where one side has to try to knock down the other, because they are the two greatest players the world has ever seen. Yet, there are a few people on here (I do not think you are one) who literally use every chance they get to try to knock LeBron down. That is just plain dumb.

Kareem could be top 1. It's very close between him and MJ.

Magic is right there, too bad he was forced to retire a bit early.

Really...?

Funny how you deleted the word 'Lakers' before you put homer down in your last edit.

Either way:

Kareem could be top 1. It's very close between him and MJ.

Magic is right there, too bad he was forced to retire a bit early.

@dbldwn711 did you get the IP check?

@handicappers sorry for the delayed response. I noticed some "peculiar irregularities" that I wanted to run by a trusted Mod I know on another site. They confirmed what I suspected. I've put it all in a PM to you.

Thanks for brining this to my attention. I've reported my thoughts (and those of the mod at another site) to the "powers to be". Please review the PM I've sent you. It's all laid out there.
