When has an Ohio State QB ever been good in the NFL?

Fair point and to answer your question only one I can recall is Tomczak.

while you were busting balls there are fans who think this matters. I mean, before Baker who was the best QB from Oklahaoma? Before Mahomes, had there been many successful QBs from Texas tech? Same for Allen/Wyoming, Brady/UM, Brees, Purdue (Griese, I guess), Rodgers/Cal, etc.

Really aren't any schools until the latest Oklahoma run I can think that were good at producing QBs.

To answer your question about BIG QBs, I'd add Cousins and Wilson off the top of my head.

So to recap...only Brees, Wilson, and Brady. Cousins...could throw Burrow in for that matter seeing as he graduated from OSU.

Happen to think it might change with Day as he's a little different in the QBs he goes after than Urban and Tressell. seems like pro style QBs are also more willing to play for him.

I like McCord better than CJ for one

I'm not ready to make that leap after half a game against Akron. Have yet to see Stroud look as bad as McCord did on that first drive and most of his passes were short with a ton of YAC. Did he complete anything downfield (not saying he didn't I just don't recall any)? Honestly, I though Miller looked a little better (small sample size, though).

McCord first drive was abysmal lol.

I'm just not a CJ guy. Hope he proves me wrong. Ultimately it ends up Ewers gig I'm sure.

agree there...cannot say CJ's been all that impressive. That said, Day and the coaches see them a lot more than we do.

Guessing this might be Day, too, but whoever is QB would love to see him run at least a little on the read option so the D does not know the RB is getting it.

Yea...it's like the total opposite of when Urban overkilled the JT run

I like Fields but what are the chances he becomes the first great QB in the 100 years of Bears football?

Recently released from prison Sept 2nd this month.

Schlichter was paroled over the objection of Ohio prosecutors.

That guy was screwed as a kid. His dad, Max was so overbearing and controlling about money that it completely messed Art up. Rather than trying to be a dad, Max tried to be an agent and a money maker.

Decades later Art will still try to sell you a bag of magic beans. Because of how he was indoctrinated by his dad.

I wouldn't bet on it....but I'd bet against any QB taking outside the top 10 on being great. Maybe even top 5.

Herbert looks legit. Jury still out on Burrow but Tua and all the QBs from this year all look like shit. Next years class looks like shit too. It’s like good college QB’s are beginning not to exist just like kickers.

Miami has to be kicking themselves over Herbert.

He still went there…that’s a loophole and damn good one
Then Russ is an NCState guy, Randy Moss is FSU and ND, Cam is some junior college, same with Aaron Rodgers.

It’s where the student athlete finished is education. No wiggle room.

He really only needs to be the first average QB in 100 years of Bears football to become a Chicago legend unfortunately.
