Maryland did handle WVU easily last year...but I don't see much improvement either. They only won 3 playing in a weaker conference. Their OOC might help, but the conference schedule will do them in.

I would say teams that regularly hang out in top 10 and threaten a BCS game and now with the final 4 teams that are favs to make it there.

CBS? really? and I am cherry picking. Athlon has OU #4 and Oregon #6.

Oregon and Bama will be ranked top 10 in AP and Coaches preseason polls. You can book that.

Here's a wider selection for you guys to choose from.

Gives a good visual on why a Big 12 guy would point out the Sporting News's poll. lol

Yeah, I am pointing out OU is #1. That is exactly what Texas fans do. I was only laughing, because pretty much everyone knows Oregon and OU are considered top teams. Your link just proved that. I love when people argue and then show me something that backs up my pt. Lowest OU is ranked is 7th. Lowest Oregon is ranked is 6th. Yet, you are asking if their are any upper echelon teams in the Pac or Big 12.

No, I asked who those teams are, because several people keep talking like the Pac 12 and Big 12 are top heavy over the Big 10. And I don't see it at all. As far as I can tell, the Pac, the Big 12 , the B1G and the ACC look about the same, 1 tier 1 team each. Not to mention Ohio State is consistently ranked higher than both Pac and B12 teams.

than I misread the comment. I thought you were questioning if there are any top teams in either conference. My bad.

Big 12 11-2, 11-2, 10-3
Big 10 13-1, 12-2, 9-4

JMO, the Big 12 is hurting without Texas at the top. The Pac 12 is hurting without USC at the top. And the Big 10 is hurting without michigan. The ACC finally is back in the picture with FSU.

Each one needs those consistent 2 team powerhouses, then that combined with those teams that have a good year here and there...that's what the SEC has that's lacking everywhere else.

Ok, here is an example, Ohio has played the PAC's worst team the last two seasons.

Cal.

Needs home cooking in Cbus to get win by 7 points.

Last season, Cal scores 34 on Ohio.

Just look at PAC and B1G head to head trough the years and even last year.

That is why I was saying, you have Ohio and that's it til last year where you had MSU also.

We will see what happens when MSU comes out to PAC country this year.

Miami is killing the ACC. Big 12 is screwed with the round robin schedule. It is better from a fan perspective, but it does not help in the polls. Texas down is another obvious issue. I would not bury USC just yet. Lot of truth in the fact that Conferences are judged on their flagship programs.

You're going to have your hands full. You know MSU did beat your best team in the Rose.

Look at recent history and I think Oklahoma has been the bench mark in the Big 12
the conference started in 96 TX has 3 titles OK has 8.
