I've got a set of Spalding woods, 1-3-4-5. Not sure how old they are but my guess is they're mid to late sixties. When you hit em square, you know it immediately

I broke my 5 wood. So I have a cheap metal 5er. My PW has a huge nick in it.

I'm the shits so spending big shekels is not for me.

I golf because my son can do it. And it's fun to be able to do something with him.

Hit all the the new ones recently, I really wanted to like the Callaway Maverick but ended up getting the Ping 410.

I've never bought new equipment, all old/used. I've got lots of crappy metal woods too. I usualy don't take my wooden woods to the course but I've taken them to the range a few times.

I've probably got the equivalent of three full sets in the basement, about half of which are antique looking things that I picked up when I was buying something else at the same time. People were like, "Just take em all, will ya?"

My first set was my Dad's old one.

It had a 10 iron for a putter, a wooden shaft 6 iron, a wood shaft 9 iron and a copper shaft 7 iron.

That 7 iron is the best club I've ever hit. It seems like it grabs the ball and throws it.

I felt the same about my 4-wood. Just really smooth when it connects.

I don't have any hickory or copper shafts but I have lots of steel shafted clubs lying around

finally starting to hit my Callaway driver the way I want to hit it. No need to buy a new one now.
