When I started back, I got a whole new bag, I think my old 4H is the only club remaining....it's been a long ride back...no where close to my low index, but I'm a proud weekend hack...lol

I've never bothered to keep track of my scores. I don't have a club to validate them, anyway. I generally only play a couple times a year when I go on vacay; I hate playing local courses because they're always so packed.

I do like to hit a bucket (or 2) as soon as the weather turns nice...but my closest range has been shut down for the past year. I could walk to Randall's Island or ride my bike, now I have to drive out to Alley Pond.

I am not going to spend $400 on a new driver

I bought a Callaway SR16 a few years ago that I like. I hit it straighter than I did my Taylormade R1.

I hate all the gimmicks TM comes out with. I am trying to stay away from them.
XR16...my mistake

I still hit my drives with a massive fade...or slice if you want to be a dick about it.

Still loving my Ping G400 Max. Killin' it these days.

Played with a fellow years ago who hit a big slice every shot. He said "I've been fighting a snap fade." :pound:

The check from Wilson must not be all that large...playing Ping driver, Titleist & TM wedges and Titleist ball....only playing Wilson irons.

Or TM and Titleist make better drivers, balls and wedges ;)

Pretty sure Wilson doesn’t make 3 piece balls

LOL...I remember reading some Feinstein a while back, and he talked about how players would react whenever the people came around to check their bags.

"I'm carrying allll Nike."
"Mind if we take a look to confirm--"
"I SAID...It's ALL...Nike..." <eyes narrow>

I think I've only ever owned/hit one club that was a Wilson, and it was a Billy Casper wedge. I just haven't run across their gear very often

They’ve always had good irons. Blades and maybe forged. Back in the day it was Wilson and hogan

They do have a tour caliber ball.

If anybody we know played it would be Harrington maybe. But I'm guessing Wilson was happy just to get the hat and the irons...not sure whose name was on his bag.

Sometimes these things go in stages as well...I know when Nike paid Tiger that huge sum on money, it took a while before he migrated to their ball and driver.

I have lots of Hogan. Very little Wilson. I went googling for images of my Casper wedge, which looks like this:

and I remembered I also have one of these:

Got the M4 and didn’t like it. Switched to the M3 and holy shit..

No wonder Koepka hit 84,000 fairways last year with this thing. Big upgrade for me. Have to dial it in and get the right trajectory but geez.... my misses are in the fairway

Love this thing and got it for $350

so I am thinking of just hitting my 3W...maybe upgrade it...because I absolutely murder my 3W and can place it right where I want it.

My driver slices hard. I can sometimes play the shape just right, but most of the time, I can't.

But my 3W....oh that is a thing of beauty.

Still hitting the M3 but I put a better shaft in it. This one gets the launch out a bit higher but it feels like it carries longer.

Was talking to a tour pro recently and a few other mini tour guys, the overall consensus of today’s drivers are that the heads are all almost identical. TM Titleist Callaway Ping Cobra Mizuno — all pretty much the same.

It’s all about the shaft these days and obviously the way it sets up to you
