Pats wire said they didn't see eye to eye.

He got a big increase last year knowing that he would be get a bad contract this year. Then getting a severed bicep in the fourth game and missing the rest of the season didn't help. Since they gave him a $7.5M bump and he had 3/4 of the season off, the Patriots felt that he should meet them half way this season. Nope. No one has actually said much, but he wanted a $11.5M bump this year. He wouldn't budge and his agent was backing him up. So it was pay away or send away. I'll take that third round pick and let Kieon White show what he can do.

Would have liked to see him back, but if that is the case I’m glad he is gone. The last thing the team needs now is a disgruntled player / negative vibe in locker room.
