From a learning standpoint, I'd probably go with Mark Dantonio and Bill Snyder.

They rarely get out-schemed and put a very knowledgeable product on the field each and every week.

When they get beat, they typically get beat by better athletes. They can also win games against better athletes which would be my trump card in selecting the 2. They can, and have showed how to beat bigger, better, and more athletic teams.

Synder is a great call. I can not believe I forgot that one. Guy seems to be able to produce offense out of thin air.

Forgot Synder also and the more I think about it this would be the best choice.

The worst is someone mentioned Hayden Frye. Synder was a big part of his success and his right hand man for years. Couple guys in his coaching tree:

Stoops brothers
Bielema
Leavitt (good coach, personal issues derailed a promising career)
Mangino

Bobby Bowden.

But only if I could cut a hole in the bottom of the popcorn bucket and stick my pecker in there.

For realz though...Chris Petersen would be one.

Here's my homer coming out.

Osborne and Snyder would be the ultimate sit down for me.

Osborne and Meyer. One coached the greatest team of all time and the other thinks they did.

I'd want to see Meyer, but someone's gotta keep his douchbagness in check.

My second would be Leach and Saban. You want to talk about crazy in a room man...

Interesting. Those 4 are on Hayden Fry's coaching tree. Both Stoops played for Fry, I think 1 actually coached under him. Leavitt was for a year or 2.

I think it would be interesting what the most successful coach over the past few seasons, Saban, talks about, looks at, explains, etc. It would be interesting to know what he sees.

Also, historically, I would probably go with Hayden Fry while at Iowa and Jimmy Johnson while at Miami

I say Fry because he has to be one of the most entertaining coaches out there and Johnson because he was entertaining and controversial.

I don't know that they watched film back then but I'll say Bud Wilkinson, anyone that can coach a team to 47 straight wins...gotta be something there.

I am a huge fan of Tom Osborn. I loved his governor campaign commercials. None bashed the other guy.

His speech at chapel is one I will always remember.

I was gonna make a Sandusky/ 2 TE set joke, maybe get his input on how to best penetrate the backfield with my D....

but I'll stay classy and go with Nick Saban and Bill Snyder.
