Yeah, but it's rare to get that franchise QB there and getting harder all the time as teams get smarter. We went from the NFL collectively pooh-poohing Russell Wilson because of his height to drafting Murray #1 overall.

Washington went 7-10 this past season with Heinicke and his 20 TD's to 15 INT's

If they had Wentz and his 27-7 TD to INT they would have probably won 10 games.

Yeah, things have changed a lot, imo.

We went from 'hey, that QB has something wrong with him so lets knock him down 2 rounds' to 'hey, that QB is a hot mess but does one thing right so lets trade up and draft him under the idea that he gets better'

Although it does still seem like a Davis Mills or Dak can sneak into the later rounds once every few years

But Irsay declined the meeting." Yikes. These are the exact kind of things that were said about Wentz his final days in Philadelphia. He frankly sounds unpleasant to work with.
