A 4th or 5th with Cleveland eating over half of his contract.
Where have I heard that before?

Cleveland had plenty of cap space, too bad they made the situation with Baker too toxic if they kept him around.I guess I don't see the point of releasing him. If you're stuck with him, you're stuck with him. He's not abjectly awful. Idk what Cleveland's cap situation is and how long Watson is suspended, but if there is a way to make that work...
Well yeah, I'd make it toxic as fuck if I was the QB and they traded for a rapist to replace me. That crosses a line, imo.Cleveland had plenty of cap space, too bad they made the situation with Baker too toxic if they kept him around.
Did a number of fans say he'd be released (likely you among them)?Stop
With your every post you weaken the entire Cleveland fan base
Thought if we waited might have gotten a little more (and paid him a little less) but this wasn't unexpected.Browns get $8M added to cap carryover and a 5th. It's actually about what I expected after all this speculation.
would think unless Watson receives a full season suspension we just get it over with this season?
Seems like they'd want to eat it this year, given the uncertainty, and leave as much dry powder for future years as they can. May take a year plus to work their way outta the Watson mess anyway.
Now that he doesn't play for the Browns, he sucks, right. Are you drunk? And who in their right mind said he's worth a 2nd rounder?
My boss hates me too. Doesnt mean he can move on from me and have it make sense to his business.
During COVID, the cap went down. Because revenue went down. You know what didnt get adjusted? Coaches pay.
Doesnt make a lot of sense to pay Rhule almost $40m next year NOT to coach when you have to go out and commit another huge chuck of change on a new coach that might just as easily fail. Especially on a team that generates revenue at a bottom 5 in the league. He thought well enough of Rhule to give him that contract. He has to play it out more than just 3 years (which isnt even 50% of his contract duration).
Now that he doesn't play for the Browns, he sucks, right.
Sadly you know he will have his best game of this career week 1 and then by week 2 reality will set in.Go play this game of yours with a Browns fan that actually supported him.
I have never been a fan of his from the moment he was drafted.
He's an average QB. Average arm strength. Average completion percentage. And his W/L record is average. Nothing special.
You said some Browns fans were convinced they'd get a 2nd rounder for him. Where's your proof, who said that? I wanna know so I can laugh at them.
Once upon a time, I was giddy thinking what the 9ers could get for Jimmy G when Wentz got traded. Fate can be cruel. In all of this Mayfield/Browns mess lets remember what teams traded for Carson Wentz.

Is Baker a busy yet?
