I think Mayfield is going to be much better than Wentz. I am glad Mayfield did not end up in the NFC East.

Landry clearly the best of the bunch, but I'd say 2016 Matthews, Ertz and maybe even Algholor were thought of more highly than Njoku, Perriman, Callaway (before we saw what they could do with baker and Kitchens).

In 2016 Football Outsiders ranked Matthews as the 76th best WR, Dorial Green Beckman as the 81st best WR and Agholor as the 88th best WR. Eagles had one of the worst skill units in the NFL in 2016. Ertz was rated as the 17th best TE.

I said before the draft that Mayfield was the best QB by far in the draft. The browns finally hit on a legit franchise QB. A blind squirrel will eventually find nut I suppose

If Wentz stay healthy it's him. But I'm not sure he can...

Talking specifically about their rookie seasons, cuz.

Ertz wasn't coming off three prior Pro Bowl seasons in 2016.
Oh my bad. What was wrong with Matthews that year though? Also Ertz was still a stud.

Unlikely he stays healthy, but even if he did, it's bold to predict him to be better. Unless Baker inexplicably falls off a cliff, he was dramatically better as a rookie than Wentz.

We'll see what Baker does in year 2. I doubt he'll put up Wentz numbers in year 2. But it all comes down to health for Wentz. I'm not sure he stays healthy, unfortunately.

His TD:INT ratio was fantastic, no question, but the rest of his numbers were just OK. 60.2% comp, 7.5 YPA, 3,296 yards are pretty pedestrian. I don't see why Mayfield can't hit those numbers. He can definitely at least hit and exceed that TD mark, yards, YPA, and comp%.

I'll start with the annoying cliche'
too soon to know.

With that said I do like Mayfields Moxie on the field.

The Eagles blew out a shit load of teams that year, he wasn't going to have the highest ypg stats. He also lead the league in QBR. Admittedly his comp % wasn't great that year.

In 2016?? They went 7-9 and only 3 of their wins were by more than 14. After the bye week they went 4-9, so that doesn't really hold water that his YPG wouldn't be high.
