ok i actually went and turned the game back on right after this post, just in time to see Fuller's first pick. Sorry to see Tillman go, but i knew if a corner got hurt, Fuller would step in and it would be his job from then on out.
Big win for Trestman and company. Combined with how Buffalo looked today, we might just be halfway decent. Games 2-9 look like murderer's row, but we got off to a good start tonight.
I mean, the refs were absurd. But clearly they were looking for certain things with holding and illegal contact, that the Bears were able to adjust to and they weren't. The 49ers had drives extended early by multiple holding/illegal hands calls. But then the Bears flags went down, and the Niners didn't. That's not just a coincidence.
Fuck them. The Bears beat the shit out of them in their own house for the last 32 minutes of that ball game.
