But it's gonna sting for a while... Hand the ball off and were back to back champs... Bevell out thinks himself all the time ... Still proud of this team... But we really did give that away... Stings...

I'm almost over it. It was an entertaining season but the whole "We'll gut it out at the end" bubble has obviously burst.

As a fan, it sucks! A lot. But my day tomorrow would be the same regardless of the outcome. My plans for the next few months would be the same. My outlook on life would be the same.

For the players and coaches, it is different. This is their job. The coaches will take responsibility for the loss but the players will feel this one for a very long time. Lets hope they use it as a springboard next season and for god sakes lets hope it does not cause a rift between them and the coaching staff. Chemistry is everything.

Man I think Jeremy Lane going down really hurt em. Simon made some plays out there but got torched bad three or so times.

Hate to lose it on a questionable play call because I'm usually not at all interested in second guessing those type of things. I certainly would have preferred to run there, but that play could have worked with better execution. Needed a better effort from Lockette and needed a better throw that recognized the DB's break on the ball -- put it slightly behind or "on" the receiver so he's between the ball and the defender. Just really hard to process that decision though.... one of the best played SBs in a long time and can't even enjoy it for what it is.

We had 19 players on IR this season and still managed to get to the Super Bowl.

We'll be a title challenger again next year. Hopefully this will help them stay focused.

We came within one yard of winning the Super Bowl. There are 30 other teams that would give their left nut to be presented that opportunity. Like the Atlanta game two seasons ago, we gave away that game. As other posters mentioned, that is what stings. Anyhow, it was a great season overall. We will be back in the playoffs next season. How far we go is another matter.

Man I think Jeremy Lane going down really hurt em. Simon made some plays out there but got torched bad three or so times.

It was Avril going down that let New England score back to back TDs (and Seattle going 3 and out twice in a row).

Up until Avril went down Brady was pedestrian. Like 180 yards on 35 throws with 2 picks.

Lane hurt, but Avril (and our offense going full derp) allowed Brady to take the lead.

There's no use finger pointing. It wont make anyone feel better. Bottom line is there were chances on both sides of the ball to close out this game up 10 and they didn't get it done. Credit Brady and the Patriots as they did what we have done the last few years. Won the 4th quarter.

A positive I can take is the big play ability of Chris Matthews. If he can be a consistent target going forward that's a huge plus.

A negative is that Maxwell is likely leaving and it seems that Simon filling that void will be a huge downgrade.

This will haunt for a while... I'll just never understand not using Lynch in such a critical situation....No back in football is better in those situations .... It's just sad all around .... You had 3 downs to get less than 1 yard ..... I'm 100 percent sure if the coaching staff just lined it up power on power with Lynch, we're having a different conversation right now ..... My hate for Bevell runs deep ... And I already openly did not like this guy ... He's done this more than once .... Let's not forget when Lynch flipped him off for not using him at the goal line in the past .... I'm just sick right now...

We're already the favorites for SB50. Look up and move on.

This one will sting guys, but it was a great season when many thought we were done at 3-3 or 6-4.

It was a great depressing good game nonetheless.

After waking up this morning, I thought the game would be racing through my head. But it really wasn't. Does it sting that they lost, a little. But look on the bright side the core of this team is well under 30. Also like it was said previously we are the favorites for SB 50.

Lane made an incredible stop on that play he broke his arm on. Simon was junk the entire game. They picked on him all over that field. His going down was every bit as damaging to that defense as Avril considering Lane went down early first quarter vs early 4th for CA.

And next years is at Levi stadium. A lot of reasons for this team and fan base to really push for that game. Beating anyone for a title on 9'ers home field? Closest NFL stadium to our own backyard that isn't ours? Oh yeah. That's going to be a hell of a run.

It's stings to be one play from back to back SBs champs. Goiing take a while, to quit thinking about at random during the day.
However all things considered it was still a good year, and like you said maybe next year.
