Some of it was talent but just far too often opposing offenses did what they wanted.

It WAS fun...so many miracle finishes. An unexpected record.

I don't think SB was reasonable goal. Ride was going to end

I think this sort of finish to the season had to be expected affer they got smoked by Dallas. I remember listening to a Minnesota FM radio talk show guy talking about the Vikings this season a couple weeks back while trying to downplay their blowout losses/how they always only won super close games, and I remember thinking "lol, nah dude..."

I wanted the Vikes to be the real deal as much as anyone, but sometimes the simplest answers (that they were a smoke and mirrors team) really are correct. Oh well, it was still a much better season than I think anyone could have reasonably expected.

Imo, the Kirk Cousins debate among Vikings fans just needs to be put to bed at this point. We've seen what things get like when he's not playing, and I'd rather have Cousins than watch them play musical chairs at QB like they were doing for decades on end before they brought him in. It's nice to actually have some stability at QB for a change, and the odds of a replacement being an improvement are really bad. Even the best QB isn't going to win you very many games when your defense usually lets opposing offenses walk all over them all game long.

He's 34, so one way or the other his time is coming to an end.
