I mean the train ride of hoping they might actually be contenders ended weeks ago with the Dallas game, right?

I gotta keep reminding myself I never pictured this team being a double digit win team anyway, but they've already done that. If they get to say 12 wins, that'd be nuts looking at it from the perspective of the start of the season.

Contenders? Certainly not. Fun team to watch (often) that's had a solid enough run considering expectations going into the year? Yeah, sure lol

Sooooo...Get within one score with just under three minutes left in the game, still have two timeouts...and you try to pull off an onside kick. The Lions basically needed one first down and then kick a field goal to ice the game. Who the fuck is making these calls?

No issue. Koc didn't trust defense, rightfully so.

Offense spent too much time trying to run into 9 man boxes.


Defense... Well,it's atrocious

Some of it is injury related, and it's too early to consider a draft complete bust, but it's really hard to get very little contribution from draft class and this years draft isn't looking good, or even average, right now it looks really bad

Defense... Well,it's atrocious

The sad thing is that they werent running against stacked boxes.

The problem is that Kirk and the offense only have checks on run plays. It a HUGE tip to the defense. The defense can also count and figure out which side the Vikes are running to. I can call a Viking run play and what side it will go to with about 90% accuracy before the ball is even snapped on most run plays.

Although even without the check with me's where they just line up and go, they aren't getting any yards.

The coaching staff needs to:
1) Stop the check with me crap. Its way too obvious.
2) Go back to a more zone scheme running plays. It's what this OL is best at and what Dalvin is best at.

Son and I did some work for Mom before heading to the sports bar. Saw the 33-0 score about the time you posted your "trivia" question above. Watched most of the second half at the bar, before they switched the game to the FCS semifinal. We watched the end of the fourth quarter and OT on his phone. What a good time that turned out to be.

The sports bar didn't turn the Vikings game back on in the 4th quarter? Lame. Any sports bar in the country should have had at least 1 TV tuned into that fiasco at that point.
