i liked the steel curtin and purple people eaters of the 70's thats when football was football
No doubt, even the nicknames were cool back then.
Fearsome Foursome, Doomsday Defense, Steel curtain, Purple people Eaters...
LMAO!! For sure Misko..
That was when the defense wanted all offensive players to lose all feelings in their extremities..;-)
Every time I post a name, a new one comes to mind.
Kellen Winslow
Richard Dent
Matt Blair
Chris Doleman
Better quit, or I'll go on all night.
I think it's funny that any Vikes fans ever actually liked Kluwe. I always said he was a loud mouthed distraction, overrated punter, but a decent amount of people kept defending the guy. Now that he can't get paycheck anywhere else, he's filing a bs lawsuit against the Vikes when he was fired as legitimately as anyone else on the roster. I hope everyone finally quits defending that clown.
yea but thats when it was ok for a guy to be tough and not in touch with his feelings
Yes, i'd add Doleman as well. Also Rod Woodson, Carl Lee, Warren Moon, David Fulcher, Billy Sims, Wilbert Montgomery, Freeman McNeil, Dan Marino, Earl Campbell, Terrell Davis, Scott Studwell, Jake Reed, Ahmad Rashad & Bob Lurtsema...
If you think that a guy can't be both, then that's just sad.
