Interesting article here. Gary Kubiak thinks that the new extra point rule will cause teams to add more "specialists" for the 2-pt conversion.

This rule change will probably force teams to try two pt conversions in snowy games. It was already hard enough for teams to hit extra points in the snow beforehand (e.g. Eagles vs lions 2013).

I think the Tebow move was all for attention. I don't really believe he will make the roster.

Even if teams don't go for it, it creates suspense over which they will pick, so it at least adds to the entertainment value of the game.

Field goals in the open end of Gillette can be very hard for opposing teams even in a little wind.....

I don't know man... I think the entire ruling is a waste of time.... I mean why mess with the tradition... NFL has enough drama already, we don't need to add more drama on an extra point for god sake... It's just seem's totally unnecessary.... It's gonna be stupid seeing 25-30 yard field goals on an extra point... WTF... This is the biggest point rule change in 95 years.... Why tinker with what's working ? If it aint broke apply's here... And what's up with the defense getting 2 points ? Also I"m hearing if the league doesn't get a significant amount of 2 point conversions they might move the extra point back further.... @#^$@#^ stupid ... The league will do anything to add more points I swear... This is just an insult to the leagues tradition... I hate this crap, it's not necessary....

The NFL was broken. This is how to fix it. Now it will be super duper amazing. This was the change that was critically important to the betterment of mankind and the continuance of civilization.

For one thing it'll certainly fuckover a bettor somewhere who will go crazy because of it and kill innocent people. Thanks NFL.

The NFL was broken. This is how to fix it. Now it will be super duper amazing. This was the change that was critically important to the betterment of mankind and the continuance of civilization.

I thought teams had to switch end zones at the half. Or did the Patriots cheat their way out of that too?
