Did Bernie hire his staff from the Trump leftover pool? Comparing asking for his medical records to the birther movement? HIS OLD ASS LITERALLY JUST HAD A HEART ATTACK

The request is ridiculous, in fairness. He promised to release medical records. He released letters from three doctors, two of them cardiologists, which included blood work and test results, history of medications and procedures, and baseline physical results, summarized and interpreted and contextualized, including tests relevant to his heart attack and his prospects of recurrence or recovery. Providing more would be absurd, and the general public wouldn't even know what to do with the information. The cardiologists who evaluated him said he's at no outsized risk for a repeat event or down-stream consequence, and that he's in sufficient health to run for and serve as president. I'm not sure what further evidence he needs.

What are "full" medical records, exactly, anyway? His entire medical history? He doesn't owe that to anyone, and demanding it of him would set a dangerous precedent, allowing the weaponization of chronic conditions, disabilities, and mental health treatment which in no way reflect the capability of doing the job. Especially since bad-faith actors could take little, out of context tidbits and blow them up into something major, when in fact most of the information wouldn't be in any way accurately predictive of future health.

Maybe likening it to birtherism is a reach, but it certainly contains elements--the assumption that releasing what he has and no more means he's hiding a nefarious truth, and the refusal of the provided information as valid/trustworthy/sufficient.

So, he didn’t release full medical records like he had said he would the day before then right?

If that’s the case, 1) he made a promise and immediately went back on it and is open to criticism and 2) his staffer still looks like a nutjob.

He’s been visiting the country for three days now and literally nothing has been done - he hasn’t met with anyone from the FN bands, he hasn’t authorized any action to dismantle the blockades, he hasn’t put forth any other sort of resolution.

What the hell has he been working very hard on?

Apparently Trump has appointed a new acting director of intelligence who has no intelligence...
