In defense of Farhan

On the radio they talked about something interesting, they listed who they thought were the 10 best/most impactful Giants this year on a team we are pretty positive on.

In no particular order: Webb, Ray, Ramos, Chapman, Lee, Flores, Doval, Rodriguez, Rogers, Roupp

7 of those were acquired by Farhan (traded for or signed or drafted)...some were steals (Ray was traded for Haniger and DiSclafani)

He also drafted Harrison, Birdsong, and Whisenhunt

So to be fair to the guy we all hate, he did some things right

He was at the helm for 7 years. OF COURSE most of the players on the roster were from him.

I didn’t hate him, he just didn’t inspire much confidence. I think he’s an outstanding #2, but he just played along the margins too much. If he went anywhere else I’d wish him all the luck in the world.

If Eldridge and Birdsong develop like I hope they do, then I think his legacy will be looked on much differently. If they don’t, it’s kind of how I feel like him…nothing awful, nothing great.

I mean there’s warriors fans that hate Steve Kerr and Bob Myers. I never really saw anything that was uncalled for or out of pocket. But I am getting older lol
