@RapSheetI'm told #49ers CB Chris Culliver tore his ACL today during practice. Terrible. A late MRI revealed the news.

confirmed

Sucks to lose Cully.... despite his blunder... he was still a good CB on a 3rd or 2nd WR.... but we are good in depth... Brown n ASo!!!!

Willis!!!! no fear, he has experience playing with one hand... hope he recovers properly.

Good to hear about Ian, need some good news... he and dobbs were my guys I was rooting for to make the team two seasons ago... gladd to hear Ian is getting significant praise rather than a general one.

Stupid AJ lol.... come on!

Cooper is too freaking raw to take on Culliver's spot. This means now we definitely won't be cutting Rogers anytime soon.

If anything, it legitamizes the shot Perrish Cox is going to have to play significant snaps and regain his Bronco form

Sad news about Culliver, I was rooting for him to bounce back after his massive failures in the post-season last year. Honestly, I think Asomugha was going to bump him off the field anyways so this isn't a crippling loss to the 49ers.

Positive News? At least the haters can stop whining about how "lucky" the 49ers are by staying healthy. Losing Crabtree and Cully before the season even started, Willis with a slight fracture. They can't cry about injuries this year.... ha, who am I kidding, they still will.

I always liked Perrish a lot in college (no, I wasn't gonna use his last name there). :) I didn't know he was such a moron though. That's the kind of stuff we fans can't know because we can't interview them or their friends.

But there's no denying the dude is very talented. He more than held his own against AJ Green when OK St. played Georgia. If he can stay out of trouble, I don't see any reason why he couldn't be a starter in this league.

@mattbarrows

He's ok, but has not stood out. He gets points for toughing it out thru a hip injury... @RdotAye How is ricardo lockette doing?

He is still recovering from that hip pointer

Not a big fan of these pick ups. I rather have went with Sims Walker or Lloyd. Collie has been hurt and hasn't done much as of late.

Collie ain't exactly lifting up my spirits lol... small wr who gets hurt easily... no thanks.

Hawkins though, IIRC, wasn't his speed his trait? why was he UFA? hurt?

Never considered Cully a physical CB ASO is much more physical than Cully IMO

Oh I actually have it the other way around lol.... I had Cully as a solid tackler in the back plus he gets really jabby at the LOS... and sometimes beyond the 5 yard allowance. His postseason performance(SB) was terrible though.

I was thinking the same thing, but Collie isn't that small. He's 6'1", 200. Not big by any means, but not like a Welker type.
