who said he had to go someplace shitty? I wasn't saying to ship him to CBJ, but a contender like Tor, Stl & Nashville that all need scoring help? He needs a change of scenery and to be a #1 C to get his game going on, staying in philly is the wrong thing for his career. Plus his contract is still guaranteed, it's not like he won't get paid anymore or even tank a pay cut. I honestly don't see his blue at all with Schenn, Couturier, Talbot & Read all here and able to play C, all of which are playing better then him.

Someones going to have to play wing eventually. Schenn and Coots are versatile and should be able to play it.

Briere was pretty shitty at it when they tried him on the wing.

Yes and Schenn and Coots are natural center men, and we having plenty of good young wings who are affordable. So DB is on the outside in my eyes especially with how's he played this year, so what should he be given preferential treatment?

He will, because he isn't going anywhere and he sucks on the wing. Easier to convert a young guy than a seasoned vet.

Plus Coots and Schenn are young and just dying for more ice time. I am sure they will work hard at anything to get to play more.

The biggest prob with DB isn't his talent, it's his cap hit. So let's see how you solve that one without losing any of our young guys who will be the future of this team...

I am not nearly as concerned with his cap hit as I am with having guys like Carle, Mesz, and Coburn making 4+ mil and not even knowing how to play basic defense.

Briere at least puts up points.

Coburn and Mez keep getting burned trying to make up for Briere and Carle's bad puck decisions. Now granted Coburn and MEz need to be better at that, but Briere has no redeeming qualified defensively and he really isn't putting point up this year(at least not anywhere near what he should be with that contract).

Looking forward I expect them to make another move and while I am not a fan of the Nash move I would like to see them move a big contract to bring in a gritty forward even as a rental & bring in another young d-man as insurance. IF they can move Bryz they should definitely bring in another goalie as well, I can't see and scenario where moving Bob will help us in the long-run. IF they can move Bryz they should call LA and try to swing a Read/JVR, Carle & a 1st for Bernier & JJ. Since that would put us in a better place this year and in the future. At this point I'm no longer worried about making too many moves for team chemistry since I'm starting to doubt that have enough of it to make a serious go of it in the post season. These 2 moves did push us in the right direct but I think more is needed still.

draft picks ....

Hmmm...they would have to be some really good picks considering he was #2 overall (and the Flyers think he will be a 40+ goal scorer). I don't think they move him unless they get (in their minds) a sure thing in return.

he is living 5 years on potential when will they realize he is a bust and get something good in return before evryone else realizes this. Jeff Carter scored 40 goals mulitiple times and their games are so similiar except for JC actually scored the goals on the ice and not in peoples minds.

Nice avi!!! JVR's mole is very talented. That's why Homer is reluctant to lose him.

Take this quarter, go downtown, and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face!
