Thunder seem to be in the market for a SG.

I don't think he needs to be the go to guy on a low to mid caliber team to be worth his contract.

He can be the #2 on a contender. He was playing some of the best basketball of his career and the Cavs were actually playing fairly ok when he was #2 behind Lebron.

Then IT entered the lineup, Love dropped to the #3 and he and the Cavs haven't been the same since.

Maybe IT just hasn’t had time to gel but it is looking more and more like he is the problem, I understand it takes time sometimes half of a season but he just doesn’t look like he fits with this team the more I see him play. I hope I am wrong but wonder if they tried to deal him bc this is his last year of his contract. I doubt it bc I don’t see them getting a ton for him

Courtney Lee should be the trade target.

Joakim Noah almost beat him Hornacek lol. Too bad it's impossible to move that contract.

Tony Allen might work for the rest of the season.

Tyreke Evans if Memphis didn't want to much.

I don't think so. It's not necessary that every player on the floor be able to stretch the floor. One of the issues I see with a lot of teams is that they struggle in the half court. If you have a guy who can play inside, that alleviates some of that issue.

When needed, the Lakers could pull Whiteside and put Kuzma or Nance Jr. at the 5 in a small ball lineup similar to the Warriors "death lineup".

Defensively, he's not going to be going out and defending the 3 much, but the Lakers are long enough and athletic enough to be able to cover for that.

My only concern would be what his contract is (I don't know what he's making). Imo, if used properly, he is still a valuable piece despite 5's with his skill set being devalued a bit these days. He's just not worth as much as he would have been even 5 years ago. So, for me, it would come down to what he's making.
He would certainly help with their scoring. I think it would play right into Luke's hands. He wants to run schemes similar to GS - play outside in. They have shooters and with Whiteside they'd have a paint presence too.

I am sure they want Whiteside.

Highly doubt they would trade trade CJ for him though.
GS will take him if he's looking for a new home in the summer....

Not a free agent so golden state would have to give up one of their big 4. Also don't think he's a good fit for them

Agreed.

Even if he were an FA, GS wouldn't have the cap space.

LOL. This is nuts and why I love the NBA. No one saw it coming yet it happens. You just don't see fun movement like this in other sports.

Det gets a star while not giving much up. If, a big IF, Griffin stays healthy this is a big get. If not, they are really no worse than they are now.

LA looks like they are blowing it up which I thought they should've done last summer. Won't be shocked if DJ is moved too, definitely expect him to leave if he hits FA

What an absolutely bizarre trade for the Pistons to make? SVG likes to spread the floor and use stretch 4’s and he trades for Blake Griffin to fill that role?!?!

The Pistons are just throwing shit against the wall and hoping it sticks right now. Only POSSIBLE way this makes a lick of sense is if they plan on flipping Griffin to Cleveland for draft picks and players?!?!?! (That is just a shot in the dark and the only thing that would make any sense about this deal)

He's gone. Better trade him now. He has a player option. If they don't trade him then he's going to opt out and leave them for nothing in July. No way does he resign with them if he cares anything about winning
