Lakers won that trade. Cavs still don't stand a chance to beat the Warriors
But IT can now go wherever he wants and the pick is protected. Awful trade for Lakers but it doesn’t make the Cavs better

Thanks. Younger and more defensive is a move in the right direction, but yeah, the Warriors aren't even glancing up from their morning cup of coffee.Clarkson is like a young Lou Williams. He's a very nice scorer off the bench. He can come in and get points that the Cavs bench currently doesn't get. He's a little better defender than Lou, but he ain't winning any DPOY awards.
Nance is long, athletic and can jump out of the gym. He plays solid defense, is solid on offense and plays hard. He's a guy who knows his role and is happy to play it.
In short, the Cavs just got a little younger and a little better. This could get them out of the East, but won't get them a title.
For what it's worth, I don't like losing Nance, but I think both teams got what they need. Cavs got younger and more athletic. The Lakers get expiring contracts, unload Clarkson's contract and a pick.
Good deal for both teams, imo.
its protected in case LeBron leaves
How is it awful?
haven't seen the specifics yet, just that it will be protected. What protections?
IT is a FA. The only thing good about the trade is they clear those salaries. I guess that’s all they wanted
Totally agree, but that can't trade it now, cause they have to have a 1st.The Cavs should trade the Nets pick and some filler for Walker.
When James leaves......they'll have Love, Walker, Clarkson, Nance, and whatever else they have to try and rebuild....
Cavs still trying to get Kemba...somehow lol
Do I have to be the 1st to say....
Cavs might have just helped Lakers clear cap space for Lebron
