Russell Wilson gets his first start of the preseason for the Seahawks in a few minutes. A solid showing and he just might take the starting job away from Flynn. At least for now. Should be interesting to see how he does playing with the first team against a first team defense.

He spent his senior season with Wisconsin, and if not for our defense allowing two hail mary passes to lose two games, would have had an outside shot at the Heisman. He's got the legs to escape the pocket on plays he can't make, the arm to make throws on plays he can, and wisdom to know the difference.

He was voted captain of the team after being on campus for TWO MONTHS. He's got a good head on his shoulders, and I wish him the second best luck in the NFC. The best, of course, goes to the Eagles.

Apparently the Steelers 1st round pick David DeCastro could be done for the year with an ACL & MCL injury.

Fortunately all Melvin Ingram has is a deep thigh bruise.
