Why is there a "III" on Griffin's jersey?
I can't recall that happening before, has anyone even put a "Jr." on their jersey? Can't recall off the top of my head.
I am also a "III", and can't think of why I would need do that on a jersey.
His name is Robert Griffin. Are there other R. Griffin's on the Skins that cause this to be the best way to differentiate?

Cedric Griffin is a player on the team, so we do have another Griffin. The tradition is generally to part the first name initial though when that is the case.

The weird thing is that Roy Helu (RB) is on the team and last year I believe his name plate just said "Helu" but NOW it says "Helu Jr." So there is a Jr. He's on our team, though I think the change is recent. It's technically part of their last name, so I don't have feelings about it one way or the other. It's just a meh to me. NFL does do better marketing than any other league though.
