I think this kid is going to be someone to watch this year.[/QUOTE]

Our farm system, although not as highly rated now as years past due to some obvious moves, looks pretty darn good to me.

Bennie....I was responding to your post. Did something incorrectly apparently.

Fair enough. I wonder how their stats last year would have been different if Gallo had stayed down and the other two had come up?

Mazara and Brinson are talented and they may crack the roster in 2016 at some point but as Joey did and Odor did, they will all go through some rough patches. May even have to go back down to get it figured out like Roogie. Lets face it Mazara and Lewis haven't even been called up yet, heck they may struggle out of the gate at RR and that level for a little while. Not many Griffey Jr's or Arod's that just come up and it all clicks and there is no looking back

I'm good with this.
I believe it was on a 2-2 count so he is seeing some pitches. Maybe a lot of his early strikeouts were due to him deciding to force himself to look at some pitches. I don't know that might be nothing close to what was going on, but hopefully he is working on some things that might have had him taking some strikes.

And spring training is the time to do this.

I like the three K's. Wonder what pitches they were on.

Gallo, DeShields lead Rangers over Brewers, 8-5
March 11, 2016

PHOENIX (AP) Joey Gallo hit a three-run homer in the second inning and Delino DeShields had a two-run triple in a five-run sixth to help the Texas Rangers beat the Milwaukee Brewers 8-5 on Friday.

Gallo, who hit 111 home runs in the minors and majors over the last three years, hit a shot more than 400 feet that bounced out of Maryvale Baseball Park. It came off Milwaukee starter Matt Garza, who walked the two batters in front of Gallo.

DeShields had two hits and raised his Cactus League average to .411 (7-for-17).

Prince Fielder, in his first game back after taking part in a sleep study that revealed sleep apnea in Dallas, was hitless in two at-bats and committed an error at first.

Domingo Santana had three hits, including a solo homer leading off the first for the Brewers.

Santana, a prime candidate for the leadoff spot, is hitting .571 (8-for-14). Michael Reed also homered for Milwaukee, who had 11 hits.

Milwaukee has lost five straight after a 4-0-1 start.

The Surprise, Surprise: Joey Gallo Goes Yard & More

"Joey Gallo (2-for-3, HR) hit an absolute bomb to right field in Maryvale. More important, maybe, he continues to work the count and demonstrate more patience and better discipline. In all three plate appearances today, he saw at least four pitches and saw at least a two-ball count."

The White Sox turned a double steal attempt by the Royals into a 7-6-3 triple play today.

Yeah and Brinson has not even on the 40 man and Mazara has not started his clock. No hurry for either
