90's seems about right.

As for Prince, my main concern is he bats in the middle of the order and over his last 74 post season AB's he has 13H, 1 RBI, 0 HRs, 1 2B, 0 3B. You have to get better production out of the middle of the order in the post season IMO but then again, pitching come before that.

Maybe if we go on a tear during the playoffs in the next couple years, Prince will be due and come up with a walk off HR, or something? Im fine w him being subpar in the postseason, if he has just one hit that helps us win a WS

Desmond with a HR.

Yeah but has he had a fly ball put out in LF yet? He hadn't even had a chance in LF before today, I don't think

None today, but only 46 pitches in 3 innings. It will be interesting to see what he was working on today.

I really don't have a problem with a pitcher who doesn't K a bunch of guys, in fact only a few, as long as he doesn't walk many and produces lots of ground ball outs.

Maybe that's just me.

No thank you.

19 mill a year, doesn't scream prudent business decision to me? Especially when you have a ton of money tied up in Prince who is likely the DH anyway

I tend to agree. Sometimes the guys who pitch to contact keep the fielders engaged more and go deeper into games if they can keep the walks down.

He did acknowledge earlier this spring that he would like to strike out a few more. Maybe that comes with more experience.

Gallo gets another walk. He leads the team in walks thus far.

This time Rua and Profar have hard hits that get through for base hits. Rua is 1 for 2 with a walk. Both Rua's out and his hit were well hit.

I'm with you guys......in fact, I damn near "taken aback" by this negotiation tactic. It's not like he's been under-compensated for his years in Arlington is it?
He does have Boras as an agent.

They are saying that Sam Dyson believes that Diekman is a faster runner than anyone on the team. Grieve is having a hard time believing that.

Alberto becomes yet another Ranger to get out on the bases as he was caught between third and home.

Based on what I read, it's not that he's trying to "make up" for being under-compensated (like that shithead Bautista), but that if Pablo Sandoval gets 19m a year, then Adrian Beltre should be getting that.

I know some of ya - maybe most - were not fans of Randy Galloway, but he coined the prefect Boras nickname......The Great Satan.

And Boras hated Mr Randy for it too......made it all the better.

That is my biggest problem with the arbitration system to begin with.

Some silly fucker who's got a bigger wallet than his brain - insert Artie, Dodger Group, Yankees generally speaking, etc - makes a bad/horrible business decision and now someone wants to hold me/my franchise accountable for their bad contract.

Makes no sense.

I think that the market, ever so slightly, is trending downward.
