I'm shocked that catchbluefish hasn't shown up yet to inform me that the Patriots scored more points than the Titans today. Or maybe he'll drop a terrible witty and relevant insult about Steve McNair or Eddie George.

As a neutral watching this game, I came away thinking that the Bills looked good and the Pats didn't look very good. Yet the Pats won and should have by a bigger margin. Losing a fumble on the goal line and another fumble that goes for a 70+ yd TD, the Pats could have blown this game open. Both should be better as we go. I know the Patriots will be, Brady is too good. Bills look like they made a good pick in Manuel and they have decent defense.

I am not trying to downplay the bills play. They deserve some credit, although they made some silly mistakes as well (I get wanting to keep running your offense, but you have to milk clock as much as possible, especially when playing Brady). My comment about bad games against bad teams was that it was my expectation going into the season. If the bills show to be a good team, letting them make it close means less, but I fully expect this patriots team to lay some eggs. I am still fairly confident in what they will be when the playoffs roll around.

As long as Brady has a short, white dude to throw 8 yard dunks to all game when he's in trouble, the Pats will be just fine.

LOL at the hate. "Brady's done, blah, blah, Pats exposed, blah…dink and dunk, derp…"

I haven't heard talk like this since last year. And the year before that. And the year before that. And the year before that one…

They better hope Gronk comes back and is even 80% of the player he was. Their run game was improved but the timing with the receivers looked off and you could kind of sense they were lacking that big play guy. Final drive was nice and maybe we'll see more of that but for the most part they looked mediocre. Better teams will make them look foolish if they play like they did today.

And what did you win last year? And the year before that. And the year before that. And the year before that. And the year before that. And the year before that. And the year before that. And the year before that. And the year before that one…

"Hate?" Where? Any criticism of the almighty Patriots = "hate" to their fans. Just wow.

You seem very confident right now in a team that played very poorly today and won on a FG as time expired.

Get real.

And yet they won again even when they had a pretty crappy game. Its a problem if they look like that in game 6, not game 1.

But keep on wishing, hoping and praying concerning their demise, one day it might even come true!

I wouldn't hit the panic button, they'll still win the division. However, you can't honestly tell me as a fan you were overly impressed with their performance today. I agree it's week 1, and one of the main issues I saw (receivers not being 100% on the same page with Brady), should improve as time goes on. But they were clearly lacking the swagger of the past. If Gronk comes back and is legit they'll be fine.

Not gonna lie we flat out sucked today. It's one game though so you can't base too much off one game. Let's see how week 2 is.

Not impressed at all, but it's week 1. It was ugly, but we still won. I'm not worried.

Pats played in mid-season form, a couple of unlucky turnovers, if not a blow out.

I'll be honest they weren't horrible, but haters look at the score and think they watched 60 minutes. The Bills were lucky as fuck to be in the game and anyone who watched knew that. We dominated the 1st half. The Bills were awful. We kept beating ourselves and let them hang around. They did make some plays, but our mistakes were the only reason they stuck around and if you actually watched the game you knew that. Although we did have a lot of mistakes and wont argue that. Bills were lucky for that and still couldn't win.

I had the game P-I-P the whole time and was flipping back and forth. If you truly believe what you just wrote, you didn't watch the game.

The Bills will be fine. One of the youngest teams in the NFL they had 10 penalties, one that wiped out a 15 yard gain for a 10 yard penalty. That's a 25 yard swing, even the CBS announcers said the Bills are killing themselves with penalties.

They have a new coach a new OC and DC a rookie QB. Not to mention a new Pres and VP so I'm not concerned because I think they are headed in the right direction.

Also if Stevie Johnson doesn't drop that third down pass late that would have been a first down this out come very likely would have been different.

I can deal will a young team making mistakes and learning and am not ashamed of how they played today also considering their two best secondary players were not playing.
