I am starting to think this as well. With Myra it seemed like he did truly care and was truly honest about what he says and stands for. Now it seems like he has done a complete 180 and has turned into a different man. Just keep your mouth shut for the most part.

I'm not going to lie I totally bought the good guy thing for a while, but I started questioning during the Aaron Hernandez shit. Because people might not remember this, but Kraft had this big boasting interview before that about how the Patriots organization looks at character more than talent, and blah blah blah. He was basically trying to say that the Pats don't draft people with character defects even if they are super talented... But that didn't stop them from Aaron Hernandez apparently...

All teams do it but Kraft wanted to pretend his organization doesn't do it, and they have a moral high ground that goes beyond football.

No one likes a hypocrite. I'm sure he's a good owner, and the Pats have a great organization (one of if not the best) but the list of hypocrisy's have gotten longer, and longer. I can't comment on if he was a "better guy" when Mira was alive because I'm not informed enough on how he was before her death, but it isn't too far fetched to say his wife had a play on his moral character. Plus I've never lost a wife.. So I can't really speak on that. I just think his credibility with me has gone completely down the tubes when it comes to real life. Almost glad Putin punked him now.

Here's hoping he doesn't turn into Jerry Jones. :L

Yeah he is a hypocrite about the DV thing. I do think the thing about his wife is typical people pretending to have a clue. How do you know Myra didn't have a conversation with Robert when she knew she was dying? I know my father did with my mother.

He could have loved her more than anything and still moved on after. You have no idea what their relationship was about. It's cute people like to pretend because they don't like the personality they see on a TV screen.

It's not hard to see when a guy puts a patch on his team for a complete PR stunt and is meanwhile banging someone half his age while suing his sun for his inheritance that his mom left him.

You're right. Maybe he was really in love with her, but his actions afterwards have shown questionable morals AT BEST. What kind of multi billionaire sues his son for his inheritance.

Also have you ever known someone to lose a wife? Like how long were they married? Then less than a year he's banging some 39 year old.

I'm sure that's what Myra wanted. Her husband to start banging people half his age, and rob his kids of the inheritance she left them. What a good guy. I'm sure he's the true beacon of morality. Hell he got the NFL a lot of money for a long time so he must be a good guy :L

For the record I don't think that the Pats are the ONE organization run by people with questionable morality. I just think he's the one owner I see trying to prop himself up (and other people trying to prop him up) like he's got the high unreachable morality/wisdom. He's a fake, and if you can't see that you're blind.

That being said their second half performance was the worst performance I've seen by the Patriots since as far as I could remember. It was uncomfortable, and I'm not even a plan.

I think they bounce back, and in 6 weeks this is all pointless. However there's no denying they had a HORRIBLE week 1.

You know your making good points on Kraft when the home team fans kind of agree. His son seems to be the straight and narrow, and he will take over soon enough. Maybe sooner is better/smarter

The players voted on wearing the patch fyi. Probably doesn't fit your "Robert Kraft propaganda" theory.

How dare Krafty force his players to wear a patch using mind control.

This. So far he's not even close. I think Kraft was a long time married man who after the death of his wife suddenly found that some younger good looking women can be attracted to old men with money who own football teams. As someone closer closer to age group I could see that might be somewhat "exhilarating"?

He's a bit of a publicity hog who likes the notoriety (but no where near Jerry Jones so far) but most importantly he is a businessman what wants to keep his billion dollar team highly profitable. That explains so much of what Kraft does. It all public relations, spin control for a Billion dollar company.. They supported Goodell because they felt he had been good in the past of keeping the other issues of PEDs, drugs and concussions under control and keeping the money train going.

But I also don't think they'll hesitate to throw him under the bus if they feel they have to. They'll just find another suit if need be.

Exactly. Kraft is sincerely seen as a good owner by many players both on the team and on other teams. It may be for a good reason.

But yeah he's human.

Only if Pats fans think he is infallible. Despite people like hammer down suggesting Pats fans literally all think the same thing. It's hardly the truth.

I don't much care about the owner of any of my favorite teams unless they don't care at all about winning. Victor Kiam didn't care. Kraft not only cared about winning. He cared about keeping the team here.

Shocker Pats fan love him for that, huh?

I'm lost at how the players voting on it changes that he wanted the patch there and how he was banging a 39 year old actress BEFORE A YEAR after his wife died. It was a fucking PR stunt to show the Patriots "higher morality" that this asshole use to always talk about. Also way to strawman my post, but keep supporting your hero I guess.

How long was he married for? If you don't think him dating a 39 year old actress less than a year after his wife of what 58 years or something dies is messed up you are straight being blindly ignorant. Imagine if you were his son. WTF would you think if your dad started dating someone younger than you (or around your age) less than a year after your mom died?

Lol you're a joke for thinking that's not messed up.

I don't think he shouldn't be an owner or anything rash, but if people can't see through this fake high morality that this ass clown tries to promote for good PR than you're fucking blind. I mean even Donald Sterling won awards from the NAACP. Doesn't mean he's a good guy, and not a racist. It's all for PR. So he can say see "I'm wise and good so my opinion should be loved". Don't fuckin buy what he's selling. Great businessman/Owner does not mean great person.

There was a time where the Patriots were trying to promote the "Patriot Way" as being on some higher moral plane but that has loong since been dropped even before Aaron Hernandez so I think you're behind the times on that one. Now they seem to talk about the "Patriot way" as a team over individual mentality but they aren't the only team that promotes that.

I'm going to go with the "Glass House" rule of morality. It's easy to be found hypocritical when you're in the public eye. Yeah he's human.

On a side note. I was a juror on a trial when another millionaire sued Kraft for something like fraud of breach on contract (I forget) to recoup 9 million dollars. It was real interesting to see Kraft being grilled by an experienced lawyer. Probably everybody but especially millionaires have a hard time being out of control and unable to control the narrative which is what experienced lawyers don't let you do. Both millionaires had a real hard time with that. It was interesting.

I agree. This has happened before and the Patriots usually bounce back but Minnesota doesn't look easy.

:omg: It's only week 2 but I haven't seen this posted about the Vikings in a long while. I'm excited for this game because I think the Vikings are much improved and its a good measuring stick for Minnesota but it's still Tom Brady and its still the Patriots were playing. They seem to always bounce back from a loss well.

This gets stated quite frequently. Can you name one?

Haha ya all of you...ok well maybe 90%! Most of your fan base acts entitled like a silver spooned spoiled rich brat. There's simply no need for it. Once you chat with most they calm down and are sensible but then in comes a new wave of idiots....it does get tiresome.

No way the Patriots are in decline. They will probably go 11 and 5 and win the division.
