This baseball season is going to genuinely suck for you people. Bad enough you had to deal with Mariano all through last year, now not only to you have to sit through it all again, but this time it's Jeter.

I don't hate Jeter. I respect that he is a leader, nice guy, and genuinely wants to help the younger players... He is definitly a stand up character and a great spokesman for the gay community. I love picking on him - mainly because he is so overrated by Yankee fans.... It started back when we had Nomar, Arod & Miggy all better than him, but many NYers insisted he was the better SS... He only outlasted them all. And great for him...

As I stated in another thread, Mo was the best ever at his job. He deserved all the accolades - and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them all. Jeter is a sure-thing HOFer and likely top ten al time, but he was certainly no Rivera.

I doubt he'll get anything near the Rivera treatment. In Boston for his last game ever, he'll get a great ovation, some infield dirt, and maybe the #2 from the manual scoreboard...
