Im telling you id bet money that Ohio State gains some solid ground with the coaches if they beat MSU

They may, but if they don't gain ANY ground, I think Auburn will pass them. Whether that is right or wrong, I'm not going to argue that, like I said I'm simply laying out the scenario.

I know I get that. I'm not telling you who should play FSU in the title game, I'm simply laying out the scenario based on how both polls voted. They are nearly identical, so all it would take is for Ohio State to be .040 behind Auburn in the computers to have them get passed. I think that's fairly realistic given each team's SOS.

dont think auburn gains much with the cpus if both win.....both will be playing 11-1 top 10 teams, its not like ohio state is playing an unranked 7-5 team in their ccg

I somewhat disagree, coming into the week Missouri was #5 in the computers and MSU was #14, that's a pretty sizable gap. With a loss MSU won't finish in the top 15 of the computers. With a loss, Missouri will still finish inside the top 10. Again not a huge difference, but still a slight advantage.

Is it enough to justify a 1-loss team winning their CCG over another undefeated team winning their CCG?? We don't know, and also beating the #1 defense would sway some votes.

It should be interesting.

If there is an obvious difference in talent between the SEC and B1G ...

then explain their head-to-head record in bowls since the BCS. It's pretty damn close. Doesn't seem all that obvious

Not sure what a game in 1998 has to do with the current rendition of the SEC and Big 10. Polls pretty much tell the tale. Computers say the same. Either way we are making qualitative judgements. You simply like to draw it at AQ schools, while others apply it uniformly

auburn beat georgia by 5x as many points than ohio state beat michigan by... look at the teams that michigan lost to. LOL.

and georgia even with all of their injuries is better than michigan.

Michigan could beat Georgia on any day.

and Auburn needed one of the biggest miracles ever just to beat Georgia who BTW lost to Vandy.
