Saw some Oregon fans at Kyle Field last night
eh?
"Cristobal is "slow starter" and "First 3 games were poor"?
Oregon's first three games last season...
Bowling Green (3-9): 58-24
Portland St (4-7): 62-14
San Jose St (1-11): 35-22
Do we have the same Google?
.
You either didn't watch the games, asshat or don't understand football- probably both. They looked terrible against vastly inferior teams and were dominated for large parts of all 3 games.
I'd try and teach about football, but I think that would be a lost cause.
And still clearly was the worst of the two.You do know Oregon beat Washington last year right?
Good luck trying to use facts against duck fans.eh?

Yes we own Texas now. Why do you think the Longhorns suck now? We get all the recruits. That's like if Florida had to play a bowl game in El Paso...well that's SEC COUNTRY!
Don’t worry big brother, we always got your back with Oregon.
Mike Leach is to Oregon what Petersen is to WSU. 100% or whatever the kids say now days.
I can't even tell you how pissed I'll be if we drop a game to Wazzu again this year.
Why, it’s a given.
You can’t beat us on the road.
You can’t beat us at home.
You can’t beat us in pink.
You can’t beat us in chrome.
You can’t beat us at night.
You can’t beat us in the day.
You may beat us eventually,
But a Duck for a mascot is really gay.
OFD should be used to disappointing people. So this is the real in-depth look into Oregon/Auburn?
The other day OD made a thread saying it was an in-depth look into the game and I was misled
A bunch and it still doesn't help his team winAnother Official Game Thread? How many do you need?
Sheesh
Oregon 38 -17?
Oregon only scored more than 38 pts 5 times last season.
Bowling Green (3-9): 58-24
Portland St (4-7): 62-14
California (7-6): 42-24
UCLA (3-9): 42-21
Oregon St (1-11): 55-15
Other than those, Oregon only scored more than 31 pts one time last season.
vs San Jose St (1-11): 35-22
Auburn is going to score less than (3-9) Bowling Green and (1-11) San Jose St?
They are only going to score 2 points more than (1-11) Oregon St?
That's gold, OD.

It is finally upon us, not only college football, but the prime time weekend game of college football, the #11 Oregon Ducks vs the #16 Auburn Tigers. First, before you continue reading, take a minute to applaud each of these programs for scheduling such a bug time "neutral site" game. If it weren't for Oregon and Auburn this opening weekend would be just that, an opening weekend and no marquee games.
Oregon comes into this game with their second year head coach Mario Cristobal. Auburn comes into this game with Gus Malzahn, who is on the hot seat all awhile getting a great pay check. Oregon has arguably the best QB in college football for 2019 and a for sure first round draft pick, meanwhile Auburn has a true Freshman starting at QB.
And in that comes the identity of these two teams as they face off in Arlington, Texas. Oregon comes in with a veteran group, a well created identity set quickly by head coach Mario Cristobal. The Ducks have athletes on the defensive side of the ball, a first round NFL draft pick at QB, and one of the most feared and experienced offensive lines in the country. Auburn? Don't know anything about them. We know they have athletes, but just how good are those athletes? When you expect Auburn to have a down year they tend to have a great year and find themselves beating Alabama and in the College Football Playoff discussion. When you expect them to have a good year, they tend to produce a season you'd see from Arkansas. Auburn is like the wild card in a deck of cards, sometimes they are in play, sometimes they aren't, Saturday will be a great indicator of what to expect from this 2019 Auburn Tigers team.
It's cute to call this a neutral site game, a quick glance at a map will show you this is far more of a home game for Auburn than a neutral site game. But the Ducks have been through this before, a game in "neutral site" vs LSU, where it took Oregon having 4 turnovers to lose only by 13 to one of, if not, LSU's best team in program history. Auburn's overall defense is nothing compared to that LSU defense of 2011, yet Oregon outgained LSU that game 335 to 273. This year Oregon has a first round NFL draft pick in Justin Herbert at QB, going up against a far inferior defense. That night in Arlington, Texas, the Ducks were a young group on a "neutral site" field going up against the all mighty and powerful LSU team of the SEC, and only lost by 13 thanks to self inflicted wounds of turnovers. This year in Arlington, Texas, the Ducks bring experience and are the more feared ones than their SEC foe.
You know what you'll see from the Ducks. Oregon will bring a tough mindset and line up against that Auburn defensive line and just plow right through the Tigers defense. Oregon is bigger, they are faster, and they are better than Auburn. Cristobal who helped build the strength of Alabama, has brought that to Eugene and the Ducks are morphing into what was created in Tuscaloosa. Auburn probably see's this as they prepare to watch film on the Ducks. Malzahn probably see's similarities in the team he prepares for for the first game of this 2019 and the last team he prepares for for this 2019. The irony here is the coach on the hot seat opens with a loss, and ends with a loss.
With that, come the prediction for this game. Expect jab to jab punches from each team early on, but as the game wears on expect Oregon to stand tall in the ring and start throwing upper cuts. Auburn will crawl back home from Arlington, they actually could crawl their way home since it's so close, and Oregon will fly back home ready for week 2. Herbert and the Ducks are simply too much for the inexperienced Auburn.
Oregon 38
Auburn 17
