thanks, those were the biggest group of catfish I've caught all in a bunch like that.. and we coulda caught twice as many if we didn't call it a night... too many fish to keep in the freezer en sech



we also got about 100 2" blue gill..

I thought you said you caught big catfish sir..... judgin by that toe there, those cats look to be about 12-15 inches and not one of them looks bigger than 3lbs......

When I was out in the Sioux City area, I noticed everyone I ran into cleaned catfish by skinning, gutting, using pliers on the fins, etc. That crap took forever.

Where I'm from, we'd fillet them from the asshole back and be done with them. No bones, nice clean fillet. Use the rest for bait, if needed. Besides, the meat above the aforementioned line often would be crap anyway. Especially in summer.
