It's actually not a stretch in the near future, especially as Wade is 32 and declining while the Cavs have young guys that could be an excellent supporting case in the near future along with the #1 pick this year.

Look at the guys around him that Lebron would have in Cleveland:
Irving (age 21): 20+ ppg, 6 apg
Thompson (age 22): 11.7 ppg, 9.2 rpg
Waters (age 22): 15.9 ppg
Wiggins (presuming drafted #1)

There's also the opportunity to re-sign Dawes (13.2 ppg, 8.3 rpg), and that would be quite a good team with Lebron.

He'll get more money to stay in Miami. He should ask Wade to retire before resigning though. That dudes dead weight at this point.

:L

Wade has one bad series and he's dead weight. Dude avg.19, 5, & 5 on 54% shooting in the regular season. In the ecf he avg 20,5, & 5 on 55% shooting. He had a bad series in the finals.....it happens

Lebron is lookin to win now. He doesn't have time to wait for players to grow. If he goes to Cleveland he's not winning anything until.maybe 2017. He may leave.Miami but it won't be to go to Cleveland.

I would think Cleveland with Wiggins and Lebron would instantly contend for the East.

Well...opting out probably means MIA is still in play because if Wade and Bosh opt out and re-sign for less the potential is there to add another piece.

Now...if neither Bosh or Wade opt out, then it's pretty safe to say, he's going elsewhere...I think he's just setting the stage to say...okay I'm putting my money where mouth is Dewayne...Chris...your move.

It's obvious that he has serious medical issues. He probably regrets never getting that surgery

Lebron is NOT GOING TO CLEVELAND

Can we STOP this nonsense? NOBODY is going to Cleveland voluntarily, NOBODY

They still have a crappy owner, crappy front office, and no name coach. Lebron literally has NO REASON to sign with Cleveland.

99% chance he resigns with Miami. I don't really get this fascination people have with Cleveland.....

Hes in a lose lose as far as his image and likeability are concerned. I personally think staying in Miami would look better and show some committment especially after this years loss. If he leaves hes just gonna look like a championship chaser, who can only win on the next big thing team. It proves hes nowhere near GOAT material.

This was a no-brainer. Either it's to restructure or to go back to Cleveland. He's a marketing monster wherever he goes and going back to Cleveland would repair his image. And it isn't like he hated the area. He likes living there so it makes sense he'd want to play close to home. Going to NY or LA would make him more despised than he already is and neither fan base would ever really embrace him. He'd be nothing but a hired gun.

He has a better chance to win if he goes to Cleveland then if he stays in Miami? WTF is wrong with you? He has gone 4 straight years to the Finals with Miami, Riley has shown he will do what it takes to put a good supportive cast around him. This is the first time Riley is going to have the $$ to actually do it. And you think he has a better shot going back to that shithole town in Cleveland?

I cant say whether he likes living in Miami, i dont know him personally, but i was born and raised in miami and cant imagine how he would hate being there and would prefer Cleveland.

Calm down. Lebron James opting out could simply mean he is going to take less money to make room for Carmelo Anthony.

Cleveland is not even a consideration for him.......maybe when he's closer to retirement.

For the life of me I can't figure out why normally rational and intelligent people would even SPECULATE that he'd even entertain the idea of going back to Cleveland

It's LAUGHABLE. There is literally ZERO chance he's even going to TALK to the Cavs. It's not happening, and it should be obvious to anyone with a functioning brain.

I think more along this line as well...he's setting the example for Wade & Bosh...do you guys want to keep winning titles, or pocket as much as you can on the way out...which is it?

How do you know wiggins is overrated? The dude is like 18 years old :L

Yep. He played last year at Kansas as a HS Sr as he skipped a grade.

Give it a couple years and he certainly will be an AS level player.
