Grew up in Seattle so I'm always going to be a Sonics fan at heart.

2008 was easily the toughest sports year for any Seattle fan.

2010 I adopted the Miami Heat as my team. It was the perfect situation for an NBA fan without a team to root for.

My two favorite players in the league (Bron and Wade) playing together on a franchise that I've always enjoyed watching in the 90s (Loved watching Zo and Hardaway and the Heat-Knicks rivalry).

And now with Lebron leaving, I don't think I'm going to leave with him. I'm going to remain a Miami Heat fan.

Lebron will still be my guy and I'll still root for him, but I don't see Cleveland as a franchise I'm ever going to root for. Even when Lebron was in Cleveland in his younger years, I was the biggest Lebron fan but I was never a Cleveland fan like I was a Miami Heat fan the past 4 years.

Best of luck to Lebron moving forward, will still root for him to succeed, but if Cleveland is in Miami's way in the playoffs...I'm gonna have to root for Wade and Bosh.
Be prepared to be ridiculed.

I do, and said, mnay times the same thing with James and the Knicks, but still got trolled today about becoming a Cavs fan now.

Nothing wrong with that. Pau's been my favorite Laker since he arrived. Wherever he ends up going, I'll be pulling for him.

Fortunately, I don't think I'm going to have to worry about him being in the Lakers way in the playoffs for a couple years though.

You can adopt the Kings, since Seattle tried to steal them from Sacramento but failed.

You should just be happy you have a team. No need to antagonize Seattle fans every opportunity you get. It gets old pretty quick.

No Seattle fan I know would ever root for the Thunder

I would root for the Lakers before I would root for the Thunder

I felt the same way when the North Stars went to Dallas, then they win the cup a couple years later, that really hurt.

If it makes you feel any better, I watched them win the cup in 99. :suds:

I was a die-hard Rams fan from the time I was 8 years old, until they moved to St. Louis. Then a few years later......they finally win the damn Super Bowl!!:L

"2010 I adopted the Miami Heat as my team"

Yeah, you and a lot of others. How convenient

Logic, it's a pleasure having you stick with the Heat fan base.

Can't call him a bandwagon when the best player in the world just left the team.

Obvious Lies About James Decision II

Most people here are pretty observant and have no problem picking on James.
Same people here have followed the events since FA started right up through the announcement today.
Even if your a James fan, or neutral, it's still ok to call bullshit when you see it.

There are so many discrepancies, spins, and flat out lies that I think it would be fun to make a list.
I'm only going to start the list with 1 now to see if others had similar thoughts.

Where to start? Hmmmmm
Ok

#1. The S.I. article ( which James clearly didn't write...he just approved the message) was written yesterday.

Really? Written yesterday? Then how did Sheridans source leak it to him, so he could basically quote it beforehand?

Sheridan didn't have any sources. People that believed him are retarded. He just made a guess on something he had a 50/50 chance of getting right. And if he gets it wrong? At least he got thousands or RT's and followers for him and his site. It was a win/win for him.

Read Bill Simmons latest article. Lebron gave up on his team and his teammate in Game 5 against the Spurs just like he did in Cleveland in game 6 against the Celtics. He moved on and so have Heat fans. The Heat win a title and he does not leave for at least another year. Riley's year end press conference was dead on. Some of us saw this coming.

He just hired a real PR person this year instead of his inner circle. The inner circle that did not like Miami because they were not treated as gods...thanks for 4 years Lebron. You are a great player, good person, and brilliant business man. However, you are not pulling the wool over the eyes of some of us....you just lowered your fans expectations about winning and you did it in the national media as well. Once again, you took the easy way out.

Anyone can guess a city.
Nobody can quote an article that isn't written.

I take it that you didn't listen to his radio interview from a couple days ago?

Like so many of these threads matter:wtf2:

If you or anyone else isn't interested, then just don't participate.

If nobody's interested, the thread will die and be gone.

Why?
James isn't on the Heat, and the article isn't Heat related.

It's about observation and pointing out the number of lies, bullshit, and deception that he and his camp are trying to use to make him into some sort of saint.

Leopards don't change their spots.

Big Lies

How can you work for Dan Gilbert, you might as well went to Donald Sterling...at least he didn't single you out, and go public, and left it up on the website until last Friday, that's is four years.

Lebron is a hypocrite, He was the first one to condemn Donald Sterling about a private conversation, but you go back to Dan Gilbert without a public apology, after his stunt...Yeah I am a Heat fan, but I am embarassed for you...at least we know now that it is not about winning to you, and that you don't have any pride.

That letter stayed up on the website for 4 years...I am embarrassed for you, and your family...you say you are chasing Jordan...you will never smell six Championships, the city of Cleveland is snake bitten.

Don't get butthurt about LeBron leaving you. Be glad you had him. I've been a Suns fans my entire fucking life and have had my heart broken year after year with NO TITLES. I've witnessed my favorite player leave to play for our rivals (Lakers) and got over it. I witnessed my team get fucked over by bullshit suspensions and Tim Donahue fixing playoff games against my team. If you're gonna act like a bitch over LeBron leaving after taking you to the finals 4 STRAIGHT YEARS and bringing you 2 titles then gtfo.

You should thank him and wish him the best. You didn't actually think he'd retire in Miami, did you?
