Be prepared to be ridiculed.Grew up in Seattle so I'm always going to be a Sonics fan at heart.
2008 was easily the toughest sports year for any Seattle fan.
2010 I adopted the Miami Heat as my team. It was the perfect situation for an NBA fan without a team to root for.
My two favorite players in the league (Bron and Wade) playing together on a franchise that I've always enjoyed watching in the 90s (Loved watching Zo and Hardaway and the Heat-Knicks rivalry).
And now with Lebron leaving, I don't think I'm going to leave with him. I'm going to remain a Miami Heat fan.
Lebron will still be my guy and I'll still root for him, but I don't see Cleveland as a franchise I'm ever going to root for. Even when Lebron was in Cleveland in his younger years, I was the biggest Lebron fan but I was never a Cleveland fan like I was a Miami Heat fan the past 4 years.
Best of luck to Lebron moving forward, will still root for him to succeed, but if Cleveland is in Miami's way in the playoffs...I'm gonna have to root for Wade and Bosh.
I do, and said, mnay times the same thing with James and the Knicks, but still got trolled today about becoming a Cavs fan now.
