He's not doing anything wrong. He can take all the time he wants. But at this point, the decision should have been made by now. He is being inconsiderate and probably dragging it out because he loves the attention.

Anyone think this whole thing is to stick it to Dan Gilbert? You know that letter still irks him and what better way to make him pay a little more by dangling his services at their doorstep and then signing with Miami...again.

I don't get why people keep saying this. He has basically been in hiding. He is not out talking to press and feeding this frenzy, he is trying to stay out of it. Whether or not he likes attention (debatable) he is going to get it. That should not be a factor in his decision.

I disagree. His rep took a major hit after The Decision. I don't think he's playing games any more. As far as Gilbert goes, thats water under the bridge. Both were at fault after the fiasco 4 years ago. Lebron's not being inconsiderate this time around IMO.
Thats hard for me to admit. I was bitter when he left and royally pissed off. I'm a Cavs fan, and a fellow Akronite. It took a long time for me to understand he had every right to leave. He just went about it the wrong way. Gilbert should have kept his mouth shut. I wish Lebron well.

Not reading through all the comments, but it appears as though the consensus is that he is selfish, inconsiderate, yada yada yada, et al....

I don't buy it. He's under the microscope and not one of us can fathom what that's like. We live in a 24/7 media driven world, where breaking news is not brought to us by credentialed reporters, but by tweeters and bloggers. He deserves all the time in the world to make up his mind.

It is fans like you who are the reason LeBron is considering a return. I truly believe that he loves the Cleveland fans, but there are a lot of obstacles in play for him to make a return, Gilbert being one of them.

No.

- It hasn't even been 11 full days
- There is absolutely zero evidence to suggest LeBron is enjoying or seeking attention. Any suggestion that he is is pure conjecture and borderline libelous, IMO.
- LeBron's greatest priority is his family. If he feels like he needs a month to ensure he does right by them... he should take it with little regard for anyone else. Once he feels like he has made a decision that's best for his family THEN he can start going down the list of how he can be most considerate to other parties.
- What this boils down to is people are blaming LeBron for their own impatience.

I do agree with trojan that it would be a nice gesture for him to give a basic timeline, if he feels like he can. Problem is, he might not have one... in which case promising something he's not sure about would only set himself up for more backlash. I tend to think he does have a timeline and I think he should share it if he does. At the same time I'm not going to bash him for something so trivial.

LeBron decides

LeBron has just reported to SI.com that he's going to return home to Cleveland. what is everybody's thoughts on it?

personally, I really like the move for LeBron, but as a Bucks' fan, it makes me concerned due to the increased competition in the Central

The Bucks won't be competing any time soon, but this decision will come down to how well the Cavs are able to manage their assets to fill out a roster that can win today.

Gilbert is definitely an issue. But from what I heard. Him and Lebron mended fences over the Letter a while ago. Whether they are on good terms is the question. You're right about Lebron loving the fans here. He gave us 7 years. As far as him returning, I would be shocked. As you said, too many obstacles

Can't fault him. I appreciate the 4 years he's given the Heat. It's been one crazy ride. But fuck that city, I seriously hate the Cavs. I don't wish him any ill will, but I'm not rooting for him in Cleveland. Nice guy, maybe a bit egotistical, but I just can't for the life of me to cheer on the Cavs.

Their front office will fuck it up.
