Having a losing finals record doen't make him less than unless you are using comparable talent with more rings.

The Lakers had to play the Celtics who won 8 chips in a row.

Just like Malone gets a pass for being ringless in the Jordan era, West gets one for the Russell era.

Only time I'd use that against Karl is if I'm compairing him to a guy like Duncan.

If we are talking Karl vs, Horry, Horace Grant, Chris Bosh...it's Malone by a mile, even with their rings.

Look at Elgin Baylor.

He's a top 20-35 player on most lists.

He lost in the Finals 7 out of 7 times.

Does that make Byron Scott better?...lol

Yes I think Byron Scott was a better player than Baylor. Actually it's not even close. You wanna know why? The only way to judge a players career is by rings & only rings.

So,....

BJ Armstrong > Jason Kidd, John Stockton?

BJ is 3 for 3.

Kidd is 1 for 3

Stockton is 0 for....

C'mon....lol

I refuse to read back past this page.

But, that can't be the argument.

If they are saying Jordan, KAJ > Lebron based on finals record...

I agree.

If it's anyone other than those two and maybe Magic?

Name one person who as actually said that.
Yeah, I didn't think so.

I could be very wrong.

But, I don't see anyway Lebron can go higher than #3 Alltime.

Well, short of being the catalyst to winning something like 5 of the next 7 chips.

That's not happening.

Winning a title with a third team might bump him up to #2 but that is the ceiling. I don't see anyone surpassing MJ in our lifetime.

Kareem and those points though....

Maybe it's the growing up in LA part that won't allow me to go there.

I have never been a Lakers fan.

But, it was impossible to ignore the fact that KAJ, Magic were larger than life at the time I fell in love with Basketball.

But yeah....

You are correct.

Admittedly it is impressive lebron won with two different teams. What brings that accomplishment down though is that he got to hand-pick those teams.

Kareem didn't have Magic and Worthy when he came to LA - they were drafted.

There are no prizes for second place in basketball. You can get your team to the finals 10 times; if you only win two and lose eight, nobody will think of you as a 'winner'

Jerry West is not a winner then. LeBron was the best player on the floor for 8 Finals. We are talking about how good players are. A player that's the best player on the floor for 8 Finals is one that's better than someone who's the best player on the floor for 6 or 5 or 4 Finals. It is a team game you know.

So lebron is better than MJ according to that logic?

But, they don't keep separate records for playoff wins/losses vs. Finals wins/losses.
Of course "they" do. Tlance just did.

There's a lot more that goes into comparing players than just that. But it doesn't hurt LeBrons legacy that he was the best player on the floor for more Finals than MJ. Individual legacy.

Considering this idiot just said the wolves are not allowed to be considered "young" anymore because only Wiggins and Tyler Jones are young. Yeah he needs his ass beat.

It's Tyus Jones and he forgot the guy leading the NBA in double doubles

Is that necessary?

Nobody else in the last few pages has needed to resort to name calling.

Maybe that's because we can actually debate using reason and facts?

@Shaqdaddy11 does not need you to Rescue Ronnie nor co-sign for her.

I've had my turn in the ring with her.

Believe me when I say.....

She got this shit on her own.

Michael Jordan 30 ppg 5.8 rpg 3.5 apg 83% FT 2.3 stl 2.6 pf 2.7 to

Lebron James 27 ppg 8.2 rpg 9.1 apg 78% Ft 1.7 stl 1.7 pf 4 TO

The things in these comparisons that stand out are the assists and clearly Lebron wins in that category

Lebron also wins in the rebounds as well - Lebron as an all around player does do more, but

Lebron gets less steals, more turnovers but less personal fouls

For me, I don't think the stats collectively together says LeBron is better then Michael Jordan until you add the championships - and six championships is better than 3 and those three extra titles added to the stats is what makes Michael Jordan the best man.

That being said, however - wait about 5 years and lets see how LeBron finishes his career - if he was to leave Cleveland and win two more titles before he retires - I think the LeBron balls slurpers will have legit argument

And LeBron will get a pass for losing to the Warriors multiple times and the Spurs twice. As he should. They were better teams the years they beat him.

Nobody gets a pass for losing in the finals.

If we're going back to the "West is clearly the stronger conference" debate, we can argue that the only reason lebron made it to that many finals is because of a ridiculously weaker East. We've already been there.

One could argue that if MJ hadn't retired the first time, he'd be 8-0
