Still a couple of weeks left in the regular season but screw it. There shouldn't be much that happens to drastically change your mind. This who you would vote for, not who you think the voters will pick

I am voting for Lebron, because I still think he is the best player on the planet.

That being said..... Harden probably wins it.

He has more high profile meaningful games left to win votes.

If you're voting for best player on best team Curry should get it.

If you're voting on the actual most valuable player it should be Harden or James

Going with Curry. It's really tough between him and Harden. I've gone back and forth several times. Harden is just so much the driving force behind the Rockets success and they haven't missed a beat with Howard. Ultimately, I decided to with Curry because their numbers (both raw and advanced) are so close, Curry is putting those numbers up in spite of playing less minutes and even sitting out large chunks of the 2nd half because his team is up so much. To me that indicates that if Thompson went down and the Ws had to depend on him as much as the Rockets depend on Harden, Curry's numbers would be even higher.

Westbrook. Triple doubles alone make him worthy, but the way he has put that team on his shoulders this year make him a shoe in IMO.

I agree that he has been on a tear lately but his team is not good enough to have an mvp candidate and he missed a good amount of games. Definitely not a shoe in.

I honestly think Westbrook had a real shot if Ibaka had not gone down. They were still a real threat with him but they don't have zny defense without him and Roberson. My vote wouod go to Curry now and it's not close.

So according to ESPN just now, the race is no contest because Curry leads Harden slightly in some advanced stats, and that Harden's only argument is that he has played more minutes...That's his only case? Really? His minutes? How about the fact the Rockets are currently the 2 seed in the toughest Western Conference in recent memory, all while they have been ravaged by injuries, and the next six Rockets with the most minutes all have a PER below 15 (league average). Or the fact that he is percentage points from leading the league in scoring while facing more attention than any other star player. Or that the Rockets (and Harden) have some of the best clutch stats in the league. Or that the team has the second worse offense in the league when Harden is off the floor. Sounds like a pretty valuable player to me, but what do I know.

Curry. Best player on the best team. He is putting up ridiculous numbers. He's shooting 48.2% overall from the field with almost half of his attempts from deep.

I voted Curry. He's just too damn good and plays on the best team in the toughest Western Conference we've probably ever seen.
