I'm itching to play so badly right now. Spring officially starts tomorrow...doubt the courses will be ready for another month ugghhhh.

Man...I do not envy you guys in the cold weather climates...we've had a really rough winter yet I've been out 5 times already and it's starting to look like clear sailing from this point on...I hope...at least I can count on 70s this weekend!

Damn I hit the 8 button on my phone when i meant to hit 9. I meant to say I shot a 93

93 aint bad...especially on a poor putting day...I went 42 - 50 last week after going 41-41 the week prior...golf.

I have a friend coming in from California tonight who is a very good player and we will play Southern Dunes on Saturday. I can't wait. He always brings out the best of my game.

That's what I need...a rabbit...last week was terrible...I was paired up with a decent player and his son and the son's friend...both college age newbies. Front 9 was okay, 3 missed par putts inside 6' kept me in the 40s for that side...the guy I was riding was only playing 9...the back, the kids got to me. Respectful but just a lot of bad play and I fell in line with them. Can't really blame them, so no excuse, but I play much better when the other players are at least advancing the ball somewhere.

I'm good playing either fast or slow. I've shot really fine rounds playing with beginners but then, I'm expecting from the outset that it'll be a slow round.

The worst is to be flying around the course a few over par and then hit a log jam on the 15th hole and have to crawl into the clubhouse. That's almost always a +2 or +3 finish for me.

Rabbit as in a good player to chase...they weren't that slow considering the # of strokes needed to reach the green.

I'm not blaming the kids...I hit those bad shots...example...no warmup at all played out of the truck so my 1st swing with a 3w after a couple drives with the driver...nice contact, but offline, hit a tree, into the water...so I put it away...on the back 9, 1st par 5, great drive, 230 or so out...I pull 3W again...hit a another bad shot, lead to a dbl...and I'm still keeping the box...so now I'm trying to "fix it" out on the course...I pulled it 2 more times and all bad results...with a better player, I would have laid up to a wedge and played the hole out to get the best score vs trying to hit a shot that I'd screwed up previously.

Again, not their fault...I just start playing golf shot, vs playing golf and I don't often do that.

That happens to me too. I play up to or down to my competition most times. I can't wait to get out there tomorrow, I've been playing really well lately.

I'm sure you will, but enjoy it...I'm back out again today as well...better competition, focus should be there for all 18.

Let us know how you played.

Slightly better than last week...47-42...overview...struck the ball a little better but still too many dbls from stray tee balls, blocks to the right...one triple from a 4 putt, missed a 3' rushing. 7 pars including 3 in a row, 3 of them 1 putt saves, 4 gir.

Positives...Under 90...made easy pars on the toughest holes on the course...some really nice SG shots...need to hit the range this week after 3 straight weeks of playing.

Not bad. I lost my match to my friend from CA again. Had him on the run though for a while. I was one under after 16 and he was one over. He went eagle, birdie on 17 and 18 and I went bogey, double bogey. He shoots 70 and I shoot 74. A sad, sad tale.

Hit a small bucket yesterday...felt better.

Wow...shoot 74 and lose by 4, I'd love to have been in that group...probably pressing on 18 after a 3 shot swing on 17.

Nice shootin' you guys. We're gonna be freezing here for yet another week. Had to travel to the CT coast on Saturday. Looked for a range but couldn't find a public range that was open.

Been hitting wedges in the yard and my arm's still holding up so I'm encouraged. We have our spring league meeting this Wednesday and will start pretty soon. So anxious to get out and build a new swing.

Good to hear on the arm.

I guess any score is better than what you guys are getting...fickle ole man winter...temps dropped here last night, cold morning, but climbing well now into the 50s as we approach lunch time, should get back to high 60s/low 70s for the weekend.

Exactly. 17 is a par 5 that is easily reachable for him and right at the edge of being reachable for me. I hit my drive in the rough though and had to lay up my scond to about 85 yards for my third shot to a back pin on the top shelf. Didn't want to leave it short on the lower side of the green and nuked the wedge into the bunker behind the green. Couldn't get up and down. Meanwhile he hits his second to the green about 8 feet away and sinks the eagle putt. There goes my two shot lead; and now I'm down 1 going into 18.

18 is a par 4 over a lake. You need about 235 of carry to clear that lake with your tee ball. It was into the wind but I figured I had to go for it. I hit it in the water about two yards short of clearing the lake so I have to drop way back by the tee box laying two. Third over the lake, 4th on the green and two putts. Meanwhile he clears the lake easily with his drive, puts an 8 iron about 15 feet away and sinks his birdie putt. And I'm done.
